HTML BOX SCOREBLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team had six players score goals, but fell to IUP on Friday afternoon, 15-11, at Steph Pettit Stadium in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup.

The Huskies got off to a quick start in the game jumping out to a 2-0 lead less than five minutes into the contest.
Nikki Fisher (Warminster, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy ) got Bloomsburg on the board first with
Taylor Turner (Corning, N.Y./Corning West) getting the assist.
Kate Shea (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) made it 2-0 with an unassisted goal just over two minutes later.

IUP rallied and scored five of the next six goals, including four straight, to take a 5-3 lead. Shea scored Bloomsburg's lone in that stretch at the 14:14 mark of the first half when she connected on a free position shot.

Bloomsburg came back and regained the lead with some strong off offensive play.
Brigid Kyne (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) make it 5-4 with an assist to Tracey Rusen. Then
Lindsey Coyle (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West) knotted the game at 5-all with an unassisted goal before Shea put the Huskies back on top, 6-5, with her second free position shot of the game.

The Crimson Hawks though closed out the half with two goals and took a 7-6 lead into halftime, a lead they would not give up.

IUP started the second half of play scoring the first seven goals of the period while keeping the Huskies off the board. The scoring run for the Crimson Hawks pushed their lead to 14-6 with 10:48 left in the game.

Bloomsburg, though, continued to battle and scored four straight goals over the next six minutes to pull within 14-10. Turner connected on a free position shot to make it 14-7, followed by
Hannah Jaskuta (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) scoring on a Turner assist. Kyne came back with her second goal of the game on another free position attempt to make it 14-9 with 5:17 to play. Jaskuta scored her second goal with 3:30 left to narrow IUP's lead to four. The Crimson Hawks, though, ended the Huskies scoring run with a goal with 3:05 to play on a free position shot.

Fisher closed out the scoring for the game with 1:54 left to make it 15-11. IUP was able to run out the clock allowing just one other shot on goal attempt.

Shea finished with three goals for the Huskies, while Kyne, Fisher and Jaskuta each chipped in with two. Turner finished with a goal and two assists.

Bloomsburg goes to 3-6, 1-5 in the PSAC, while IUP is now 7-3, 5-0 in the PSAC. The Huskies host Seton Hill on Saturday at 1 p.m.
