Fisher scored the first goal of the game, her tenth of the season, to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead nearly seven minutes into the contest. Gannon's Tessa Mitchell tied the game at 1-1, just over two minutes later, with her first of seven goals on the day.
Kyne gave Bloomsburg a 2-1 lead, off an assist from freshman
Abby Nocito (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape), with 16:22 left in the opening half. But, the Golden Knights answered with three consecutive goals - two by Mitchell - to take a 4-2 advantage with 9:21 left. Jaskuta scored with 6:38 left to cut the Gannon lead to 4-3 before Mitchell struck for two more goals to extend the hosts' lead to 6-3 with just over three minutes left.
Shea got the Huskies to within a goal, 6-5, by closing the first half with a pair of goals 77 seconds apart.
After Gannon's Leilani King scored the first goal of the second half to give the Golden Knights a 7-5 advantage, Kyne scored her second of the game with 27:08 left to get the Huskies back to within a goal at 7-6. Katie Babiarz answered for Gannon just 34 seconds later to give the hosts their two-goal lead back. Five minutes later, Kyne and Turner scored 46 seconds apart to knot the game at 8-8 with 21:06 left in regulation.
Mitchell notched her sixth of the game with 17:51 left to give Gannon a 9-8 advantage before Kyne and Turner scored again, this time less than three minutes apart, to give the Huskies their first advantage since holding a 2-1 lead with 16:22 left in the first half. But, King tied the game at 10-10 with 10:15 left in regulation to set up a sprint to the finish.
Turner gave the Huskies the lead for good with 9:22 left and Coyle followed with back-to-back tallies as Bloomsburg built its biggest lead of the game, 13-10, with just over two minutes remaining. Mitchell closed the scoring with her seventh goal of the game with 24 seconds left, but it was too little too late for the Golden Knights.
Shea, Jaskuta, and Coyle joined Nocito in picking up assists in the victory.
Gannon led Bloomsburg in nearly every statistical category, including shots (36-29), ground balls (23-14), and draw controls (20-6). But, Burnett proved to be the difference as she more than doubled Gannon's Kat Martinelli's save total (15-7) to earn the victory.
Bloomsburg will travel to Lock Haven on Tuesday, April 12 before returning home to host Mercyhurst on Saturday, April 16 at Steph Pettit Stadium. Start times are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively.
