GAME TWO
JOHNSTOWN—The Bloomsburg University softball team closed out the regular season with a sweep of Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday winning 8-1 and 8-0 in the six innings.

In game one
Taylor Winkelman (Springfield, Pa/Springfield) went 4-5 and drove in two runs to lead the Huskies to the win. Trailing 1-0 going to the sixth inning, Bloomsburg broke through for seven runs in the sixth sending 11 batters to the plate.
Taylor Parker (Dewart, Pa./Warrior Run) had the big hit in the inning with a bases clearing double. Also driving in runs were Winkelman,
Valerie Carcasses (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat), and
Alexa Erney (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley). The Huskies tacked on a run in the seventh with Winkelman driving in
Bridget Casey (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) for an 8-1 lead.

Parker went the distance in the circle retiring the final five hitters of the game. She earned her 12
th win of the season against just one loss. She walked two and struck out five.

In game two
Mallory Tomaschik (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) and
Alyssa Davies (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) combined to throw a three-hit shutout with Tomaschik winning for the 13
th time against no losses. With the bat Tomaschik went 3-4 and drove in two runs.

Bloomsburg got all the runs it would need in the first inning scoring three runs with two outs. All three runs were unearned with one scoring on a wild pitch and two coming in on errors.

In the second the Huskies added two more runs with Parker scoring on a wild pitch and Tomaschik getting and RBI double. Bloomsburg made it 6-0 with a run scoring on a single by Winkelman in the third inning, then closed out the scoring with a pair in the seventh.
Rachel Breuninger (Sparta, N.J./Lenape Valley Regional) and Tomaschhik each drove in a run.

Bloomsburg finishes the regular season with a mark of 39-6, 19-1 in the PSAC Central. The Huskies will begin the PSAC playoffs on Wednesday in Quakertown at 6 p.m. against the winner of the game between the third place team from the East and the third place team from the West.
