BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team fell to Wilkes University, 8-1, on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference matchup on Senior Day. Before the match the Huskies honored its two seniors, Lindsey Tennis (Quakertown/Quakertown) and Meredith Endy (Hummelstown/Lower Dauphin).,
 
The Lady Colonels swept doubles play picking up an 8-2 win at number one over the team of Gabriela Bachinski (Cascavel, Panama/Colegio Estadula) and Catherine Garrity (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus). At number two doubles, Bloomsburg's Lindsey Tennis (Quakertown/Quakertown) and Cassandra Wentz (Windber/Winber Area) fell, 8-4, while Anna Newcomer (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) and Siena Cerra (Levittown/Neshaminy) lost 8-1 at three doubles.
 
In singles action the Huskies picked up their lone point from Garrity at number four who posted a 6-2, 6-4 win.

Bloomsburg, 4-7, will be back in action on Tuesday visiting Millersville in a PSAC Quarterfinal playoff match. Wilkes goes to 17-2 with the win.
