MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team saw its season come to an end on Wednesday afternoon with a 5-2 loss against Millersville University in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Quarterfinals at the McComsey Tennis Courts. The Huskies concluded the year with a 4-9 overall record while the Marauders advance to the PSAC Semifinals with an 8-11 overall record. Millersville will play the top seed from the East, West Chester, on Friday at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.

Millersville won two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles action. Once the Marauders won three of the first four singles matches, the contest came to a close since Millersville had clinched the victory.

Senior Lindsey Tennis (Quakertown/Quakertown) closed out her collegiate career by factoring in both of Bloomsburg's victories on Wednesday. She teamed up with freshman Cassandra Wentz (Windber/Winber Area) for an 8-6 victory at #2 doubles over Millersville's duo of Tori Davis and Kaylora Thompson. She then posted the Huskies' only singles win of the day with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Nicole Daacke at #2.

The Huskies will also say goodbye to senior Meredith Endy (Hummelstown/Lower Dauphin), who played at #5 singles on Wednesday. She had one of the two matches that was not completed.

The quarterfinal appearance marked the third consecutive season that the Huskies have advanced to the PSAC Tournament.
