LOUISVILLE, KY—The eighth-ranked Bloomsburg University field hockey team won its third straight game by shutout as it blanked Queens (NC), 4-0, on Sunday in Louisville, KY. The three-game winning streak is the first for the Huskies since the 2013 season, while the three-game shutout streak is the first time since 2011 that Bloomsburg has held three straight opponents scoreless. (In 2011 the team had a five-game shutout streak).

The Huskies jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 25
th minute when
Abby Sauder (Mount Joy, Pa./Donegal) who drilled home a shot ffrom an assist by
Peyton Shockley (Milford, Del./Milford) Bloomsburg lead.

In the second half
Stephanie Halsted (Fairfax Station, Va./South County) put in a rebounded shot from the top of the circle for a 2-0 lead, followed by
MacKenna Mahan (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) scoring on a penalty corner in the 52
nd minute. Less than a minute later
Erica Krebs (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) added an unassisted goal for a 4-0 win.

Goalie Linday Cassel stopped two shutouts to get the victory in the cage.

Bloomsburg is now 4-1 and plays at Mansfield on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
