BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team lost to Seton Hill University, 2-1, in overtime, on Saturday at Steph Pettit Stadium.

The Huskies struck early in the game when
Austin Transue (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) drilled a long shot from near midfield that hit the cross bar and just bounced over the goal line to give Bloomsburg a 1-0 lead. It stayed 1-0 for less than two minutes as the Griffins were able to tie the game.

Ryan Doyle delivered a long pass from the left side to the right side of the field where a cutting Tom Urquhart took the ball and sliced a shot to the left side of the goal to make it 1-1.

Bloomsburg had two more decent looks at the goal in the opening half of play, but both shots by
Nick DiBiase (East Hanover, N.J./DePaul Catholic) were saved by the Seton Hill goalie.

In the 73
rd minute of the game, with the Huskies pushing the ball toward the goal, Seton Hill goalie Austin Iddon was given a red card for unsportsmanlike conduct after waving the ball in the face of a Huskies player. With a new goalie, Jacin Smith, inserted into play, Bloomsburg's
Josh Smith (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) attempted a penalty kick. Smith's kick was stopped by a diving Jacin Smith to keep it 1-1.

Playing a man down, Seton Hill had a great scoring chance in the 79
th minute getting a break away with by Curtis Gallagher. But Gallagher pushed the ball too far right and the game stayed tied at 1-1.

In the overtime the Huskies Transue had a good look at the goal getting off a left-footed shot. Smith though came up big for the Griffins by again making a diving stop.

In the 97
th minute Seton Hill got the game winning goal when Joe Smith pushed a ball ahead of the field that Rory McKinnon tracked down. McKinnon gathered himself and delivered a shot to the left side of the goal for a 2-1 final.

Bloomsburg is now 1-5-1, 0-4-1 in the PSAC, while Seton Hill is 3-3-0, 1-1-0 in the PSAC. Bloomsburg plays at California (PA) on Sept. 24 at 1 p.m.
