STORYLINE
After stepping out of conference play with a 5-0 win over Chestnut Hill on Tuesday night, Bloomsburg returns to PSAC action as it travels to California University of Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies enter with a 3-2-2 overall record and a 2-2-2 mark in league play - good for a ninth-place tie in the standings. The Vulcans, meanwhile, are 1-4-2 overall and 1-4-2 against PSAC opponents which puts them in 14th place.

The Vulcans saw their winless streak reach five games on Wednesday night with a 1-0 setback at 19th-ranked Edinboro. Senior goalkeeper Meghan Jayes tied a career-high with nine saves and became the fourth goalie in school history to reach 250 career stops. California was outshot by a 20-2 margin and was outcornered, 6-0. Edinboro scored the only goal of the game in the 74th minute.
LAST MEETING
Bloomsburg and California (PA) played to a scoreless double overtime tie in the last meeting between the two schools on September 26, 2015 at Steph Pettit Stadium. The Huskies held a 14-6 advantage in shots while corner kicks were even at three apiece.

The Bloomsburg women's soccer team exploded for a season-high five goals on Tuesday night en route to a 5-0 victory over Chestnut Hill to improve to 3-2-2 overall. The Huskies are 2-2-2 in the PSAC standings - good for a tie for ninth-place in the early stages of the season. Devon Haviland (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) leads the PSAC with four shutouts and ranks seventh in the league with a 0.79 goals against average. She has the ninth-best save percentage in the PSAC at .824. Dating back to last season, Haviland has posted 13 shutouts in 26 career starts and now ranks fifth all-time in school history in that department.
SCOUTING CALIFORNIA (PA)
The Vulcans enter with a 1-4-2 overall record and an identical 1-4-2 mark in league play. California (PA)'s only victory of the season came back on September 3 - the team's second game of the year - when it defeated Mansfield by a 2-1 final in overtime. Since then, the Vulcans are 0-3-2 in their last five games and have only scored one goal in those five contests. The team ranks 16th out of 17 teams in the PSAC in scoring average (0.43 per game). Kira Carberry leads the team with one goal and one assist for three points while Daniela Dell'Aquila and Selena Fushimi-Karns have scored the other goals for the Vulcans this season. As a team, California (PA) has been outscored 8-3 in seven games and has been outshot, 119-36. Goalkeeper Meghan Jayes ranks in the top ten in the PSAC in four different categories - goals against average (1.06; 9th), saves (42; 4th), shutouts (2; t-5th), and save percentage (.840; 5th).
