BLOOMSBURG—Fresh off a strong finish at the D-II/III Challenge at Kutztown University last weekend, the Bloomsburg University men's cross country team will travel to Nashville, TN for the Trevecca Division II Showcase Invitational. Race time is set for 10 a.m. eastern time for the 8000-meter event. It will be the first-ever home meet for Trevecca Nazarene University cross country teams.

The Huskies are ranked fourth in this week's USTFCCA (United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association) Atlantic Regional rankings and will be joined by several other regionally ranked teams in Nashville. Those teams are Tampa (8th, South), Pembroke (7th, Southeast), and Bentley (3rd, East).

Bloomsburg jumped to fourth in the regional poll after finishing with a strong fourth place finish at the D-II/III Challenge meet. The Huskies saw multiple PR's for the day led by junior
Daniel Neiswender (Lebanon, Pa/Cedar Crest) who was ninth in 26:22, while a pair of sophomores were 21
st and 24
th overall in
Eric Heatwole (State College, Pa./State College) who had a PR in 27:01 and
Nick McGuire (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) with a PR of 27:04. Taking fourth for the Huskies and 32
nd overall was
Danny Dugan (Ramsey, N.J./Ramsey) who had a PR of 27:09 with freshman
Declan McDonald (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks West) fifth for the Huskies and 55
th overall in 27:39.
