STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg men's soccer team has now seen its winless streak climb to eight games after the Huskies dropped a 3-2 overtime decision against Philadelphia University on Wednesday night at Steph Pettit Stadium. The Huskies will look to snap the skid against Slippery Rock which enters with a 2-5-1 overall record and a 1-2-1 mark in PSAC action. The Rock is in tenth place in the conference standings - three points ahead of 12th-place Bloomsburg.
ALL-TIME SERIES
This will be the 28th meeting between the two schools with Slippery Rock holding a slight edge over Bloomsburg in the all-time series, 12-11-4. Last season, the Huskies pulled out a 3-2 overtime win over The Rock.
Nick Izzo (Frankford, DE/Indian River) scored the overtime winner eight minutes into the extra session.
LAST TIME OUT
Bloomsburg fell to 0-7-1 in its last eight contests with a 3-2 overtime loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday night. The Huskies were able to tie the contest on two different occasions on goals by redshirt junior

The Rock dropped a 1-0 decision, at home, against Salem International on Tuesday afternoon. Jonathan Sharp stopped three shots in the losing effort.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Since winning their opening match against Felician, the Huskies have gone 0-7-1 in their last seven contests. The Huskies tied a season-high with two goals on Wednesday night but the offense still ranks only 10th out of 12 teams in the PSAC (0.89 goals per game). Defensively, the Huskies are 11th in the PSAC by giving up 2.11 goals per game. Redshirt junior

Jacob Pesarcik (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) has seen most of the action in net this season. He ranks third in the PSAC in save percentage (.767), second in saves per game (6.57), tied for fourth in shutouts (1), and tenth in goals against average (1.92).
SCOUTING SLIPPERY ROCK
Slippery Rock is 2-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in PSAC action entering play on Saturday. Offense has been a major struggle for The Rock as they have scored only five goals in eight games and rank last in the PSAC in scoring offense (0.63 per game). However, defensively, Slippery Rock has only allowed ten goals on the year (1.25 per game). Jacob Thiel leads the team with two goals and four points. Nick Sodini and Justin Sinda have one goal and one assist for three points each. Steven Rerick and Jonathan Sharp have split time in goal and have combined for a 1.22 goals against average and a .773 save percentage.
