STORYLINE
After opening up the season with an overtime loss to West Chester, Bloomsburg picked up its first win of the season on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Millersville. Gannon comes into the game without a loss, but it did tie Walsh University 4-4 in its season opener. Mercyhurst, which is scheduled to play at West Chester on Friday afternoon, has won its first two games of the young season - both against conference opponents.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against Gannon, 8-6-1 and it leads the all-time series against Mercyhurst, 9-7-1.
LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, the Huskies picked up their first win of the season against Millersville. The first half was scoreless, but in the second half the Huskies found the net twice.
Maureen Leis (Erdenheim, Pa./Springfield Township) picked up Bloomsburg's first goal of 2016 in the 47th minute, and
Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) scored in the 57th minute. Assists were given to
Allie Camp (Beavertown, Pa./Midd-West) and
Megan Carroll (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area). Bloomsburg outshot Millersville 12-5 and
Devon Haviland (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) recorded two saves.
The Lady Knights picked up a 3-2 win over Seton Hill on Saturday. Courtney Edwards, Taylor Lewis, and Hannah Manczka all scored for Gannon. An assist was given to Brigid Casey on Edwards' goal. Gannon outshot Seton Hill, 19-9, and Lewis tallied seven of those shots. Goalies Danitza Indacochea and Shannon Differ saved three shots - Indacochea with two and Differ saving one.
Mercyhurst improved to 2-0 with a 6-1 win over Lock Haven last Saturday. Jinan Abdalah Fumes scored twice for the Lakers, while Maria Russo, Rebekah Craig, Nicole McAlpin, and Maya Fanazini all had one goal each. Kristen Koch allowed one goal (an own goal) to earn the victory in net.
LAST MEETING
(vs Gannon) - Gannon snapped a 1-1 tie with a pair of goals in the final 29 minutes to knock off Bloomsburg 3-1 in the PSAC quarterfinals last November.

Hannah Miller (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Oak Ridge).
(vs Mercyhurst) - Senior Kristina Roberti's second goal of the season 8:54 into overtime gave the Mercyhurst University women's soccer team a win over visiting Bloomsburg last September 12. The Huskies' lone goal in the game was scored by
Megan Carroll (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area).
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg is ranked ninth in the Atlantic Region in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll. Bloomsburg has gone through a roster revamping in 2016, as 13 new players are now in a Huskies' uniform after 11 players left after the 2015 season. Sophomore
Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) currently leads the team with one goal and one assist for three points. She also leads the team with five shots on goal and has scored the team's only game-winning goal to date. Redshirt senior
Maureen Leis (Erdenheim, Pa./Springfield Township) and sophomore
Erin Bielski (Sykesville, Md./Century) have Bloomsburg's other goals. Bloomsburg's defense has been stellar so far, only giving up three goals in two games. Sophomore goalkeeper
Devon Haviland (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) has started both games and has a 1.40 goals against average.
SCOUTING GANNON
Gannon is coming off of a 2015 season where they finished 18-3 overall with a 15-1 record in PSAC play. The Lady Knights finished as PSAC runner-up falling to Edinboro in the title game, 3-1. In the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional, Gannon lost to Edinboro 2-1 in double overtime. Gannon's first game of the 2016 season was a 4-4, double overtime tie to Walsh University. In that game, Nicole Felice scored three goals. She leads the team with six points. Goalies Danitza Indacochea and Shannon Diffler have combined for eight saves, each have four credited to them.
SCOUTING MERCYHURST
The Lakers are coming off a 2015 season in which they went 8-8-2 overall, 6-8-2 mark in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Mercyhurst missed out on the postseason, finishing 10th in the conference standings. Key returners from last year's team include 2016 team captains Nicole McAlpin and Rebekah Craig. McAlpin started all 18 matches in 2015 and was third on the team with four goals. Craig tallied a goal and an assist in 15 matches. Senior goalkeeper Kristen Koch brings experience in net for the Lakers, having played in 18 matches in her collegiate career. Forward Carly Zimmerman is another senior goal-scoring forward for the 2016 squad.

The Huskies head back on the road to take on Lock Haven University on Tuesday, September 13. Start time of that match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The Huskies will return home on Saturday, September 17 against Seton Hill at 12:00 p.m.
