LAST TIME OUT ...
Sophomore Marissa Molnar (Erie, Pa./McDowell) scored a career-high 14 points off the bench to help lift Bloomsburg to its fifth win in the last six games, 62-48, at Cheyney University on Saturday afternoon. The win helped the Huskies earn a season split with Cheyney. Molnar scored nine of her career-high 14 points in the second half as the Huskies outscored the Lady Wolves in the final twenty minutes, 37-16, to erase a seven-point halftime deficit. Senior Morgan Klunk (Felton, Pa./York Catholic) also scored all nine of her points in the second half. Senior Alex Ross (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) hit double figures for the fourth consecutive game as she chipped in 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Sophomore Taylor Sneidman (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) added ten points in the victory.

STARTING FIVE ...
1 - Points have been tough to come by this season. Bloomsburg is 17th in the PSAC, and 291st in the country, in points per game (55.2). The Huskies have been held to under 60 points in 13 of the 18 games this season. However, over the last four games (three wins), the Huskies are averaging 61.8 points per game. The Huskies are 14th in the league in field goal percentage (38.1%), 16th in three-point percentage (27.9%), and 16th in free throw shooting (63.6%).

2 - On the flip side, the Huskies are, however, ranked sixth in the conference in scoring defense (61.2) and have limited opponents to under 70 points in a game 14 times this season. Over the last six games (five wins), the Huskies have allowed a total of 323 points (53.8 per game). Bloomsburg is fifth in the PSAC in both opponents' field-goal percentage (38.3%) and in opponents' three-point percentage (28.1%), and it ranks second in the league in blocks per game (4.8) and fifth in steals per game (8.5).

3 - Sophomore Taylor Sneidman (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) is developing into a solid contributor at point guard for the Huskies. Sneidman has started each of the last ten games for Bloomsburg and is averaging 31.4 minutes in those ten. In her first 26 career games with the Huskies, Sneidman scored a total of seven points on 2-of-31 from the field and 0-for-18 from long range. However, the slow start to her career is long gone - in her last 11 games, Sneidman is averaging 6.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. She also leads the team in three-point accuracy (37.9%; 11-of-29).

4 - Senior Morgan Klunk (Felton, Pa./York Catholic) is tops on the team in nearly every statistical category this season. She leads the team in scoring (11.7), rebounding (6.2), and steals (2.3), while ranking second in assists per game (2.6). She leads the team in total assists, however, with 50. Klunk has moved into 12th place on the school's all-time list for career assists with 273. She needs five helpers to tie Dana Wieller (2009-13) for 11th on the list. Klunk also needs 30 points to reach the 1,000-point milestone for her career.

5 - The Huskies have a very young roster that features only two seniors - Morgan Klunk (Felton, Pa./York Catholic) and Alex Ross (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) - and no juniors. The rest of the 12-player roster is comprised of five sophomores, one redshirt freshman, and four true freshmen. One of the sophomores, Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area), joins the team for the first time this season. Barber was an All-PSAC Second Team selection and an NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) All-Atlantic Region Third Team honoree for the Huskies' women's soccer team this fall.

THE SERIES ...
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against West Chester, 38-36.

LAST MEETING AGAINST WEST CHESTER ...
Bloomsburg fell behind, 42-29, at halftime and could not recover as West Chester knocked off the Huskies, 81-67, on December 30 in West Chester. Bloomsburg shot well from the field (47.4%) but was outscored at the free-throw line, 29-7, and committed 27 turnovers. Morgan Klunk (Felton, Pa./York Catholic) led the Huskies with 16 points, five assists, and four steals. Alyssa Mack (Walnutport, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) (12) and Casey Warley (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) (11) were also in double figures for Bloomsburg. Tori Smick paced West Chester with 24 points - 18 of which came at the free-throw line (18-of-22). Alexis Anderson added 13 points while Madison Torresin posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN RAMS ...

West Chester enters the contest in second place in the PSAC Eastern Division standings with a 9-10 overall record but a 9-6 mark against league opponents. After a sluggish start, the Golden Rams have won four of their last five games and are 7-3 in their last ten contests. In their last outing, West Chester took care of Mansfield by an 82-72 final on Saturday afternoon in West Chester. The Golden Rams are fifth in the PSAC in scoring offense (70.4 ppg) but are dead last in the league in scoring defense (74.2 ppg). West Chester is sixth in the conference in rebounding margin (+2.6) but is 14th in the league in turnover margin (-3.63). Porscha Speller leads the team in scoring (14.3), assists (4.3), and steals (2.1) which puts her in the top 12 in the conference in all three categories. She also grabs 5.4 rebounds per game - third on the team. Madison Torresin nearly averages a double-double as she ranks second on the team in scoring (12.8) and first in rebounding (8.7). She is fourth in the PSAC in rebounds per game. Tori Smick (12.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg) and Alexis Anderson (10.4 ppg, 2.5 rpg) also average in double figures in scoring. Former Husky, Camden Boehner, is the team's main threat from long range as she leads the team with 23 three-pointers. On a whole, West Chester has made only 84 three-pointers on the season - just ahead of Bloomsburg's 78.

HEATING UP ...
Senior Alex Ross (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) has hit double figures in scoring in each of the last four games and is averaging 13.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists during the stretch. Meanwhile, freshman Taylor Montana (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) is coming off of a career-high 19 points at Lock Haven last Wednesday and is averaging 10.3 points and 4.8 rebounds over her last six games. She has hit 25-of-44 (56.8%) from the field during the stretch.

MONTANA PSAC EAST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK ...
Freshman Taylor Montana (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) earned the first weekly honor of the season for a Bloomsburg player when she was named the PSAC East Freshman of the Week on Monday afternoon. Last week, she scored a career-high 19 points at Lock Haven and averaged 13.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 61.1% from the field in a pair of Bloomsburg wins.

DEE-FENSE ...
Despite the scoring woes, the Huskies have been in a number of games this season because they have been able to keep their opponents off the board. Bloomsburg's defense has allowed 70 or more points in a game only five times and has limited its opponents only 61.2 points per game. That figure is sixth-best in the PSAC. Over the last six games, in which Bloomsburg has gone 5-1, the Huskies have allowed a total of 323 points (53.8 per game). Bloomsburg is fifth in the PSAC in both opponents' field-goal percentage (38.3%) and in opponents' three-point percentage (28.1%). It also ranks second in the league in blocks per game (4.8) and fifth in steals per game (8.5).

CLOSING IN ...
Senior Morgan Klunk (Felton, Pa./York Catholic) continues to get closer to becoming the next player in program history to record 1,000 career points. With nine more points at Cheyney on Saturday, Klunk is now just 30 points away from the milestone and needs to average 4.3 points over the last seven games to hit the number - less if the Huskies get in the PSAC Tournament. She averages 9.2 points per game for her career. Klunk is also 12th in school history in career assists with 273 and needs five more to tie Dana Wieller (2009-13) for 11th place.

EPIC COMEBACK ...
The Huskies trailed at Kutztown, on January 18, by 17 points with 6:56 left in regulation - 15 with 5:27 left - but outscored the Golden Bears, 21-2, in the final seven minutes to pull off a stunning 68-66 win on January 18. Senior Morgan Klunk (Felton, Pa./York Catholic) carried the team on her back in the fourth quarter - she scored 12 of her game-high 20 points during the fourth quarter and had three of her career-best six steals in the final ten minutes. She was also 6-of-6 at the foul line in the fourth - 8-of-8 for the game.

BLOCK PARTY ...
The Huskies are second in the conference, and 24th in the country, in blocked shots per game (4.8). The Huskies have blocked at least four shots in 13 of the 19 games and have blocked ten shots in a game twice - against Chestnut Hill on November 22 and at Philadelphia on November 27. Senior Alex Ross (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) has taken over the team lead as she averages 1.4 blocks per game - seventh in the PSAC. Freshman Taylor Montana (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) is tied for eighth in the league at 1.2 while freshman Meghan Corridoni (Exeter, Pa./Holy Redeemer) is tied for 13th as she averages exactly one block per game. Montana, Ross, and Corridoni have combined for 68 of the team's 89 blocks.

UP NEXT ...
Bloomsburg will be back at the Nelson Field House on Saturday, February 4, to host Shippensburg University at 1:00 p.m. Prior to the start of the game, the Huskies will hold a free clinic as part of the National Girls & Women In Sports Day (NGWSD) festivities. The clinic is open to boys and girls in grades K-8. It is also the team's annual Think Pink Game. The Huskies suffered a 63-51 loss at Shippensburg on January 6 and will be looking for the season split. The Raiders lead the all-time series, 32-25.
