The Griffins defeated Lock Haven on the road 2-1 in double overtime on Saturday (Oct. 7). The two teams played well into the second half scoreless before Lock Haven broke the draw in the 63rd minute. Play would continue on until the 74th minute when Emily LoPesti scored her ninth of the year on a penalty kick to get the Griffins on the board. The two teams battled through one overtime period and after a Lock Haven infraction, the Griffins were awarded yet another penalty kick. The save was made on the initial attempt, but Emma Bearinger was there to knock it home and secure the victory in the 110th minute. Jessica Neill made six saves between the pipes.
