The Vulcans defeated Pitt-Johnstown on the road Wednesday night (Oct. 18) 2-1. The Mountain Cats got the scoring started in the third minute, before Jaheed Loblack sent a cross to the far post that was finished by Mark Wolf for his first of the season to tie the match in the 14
th minute. The two teams went to the half tied, with Anthony Papageorgiou scoring his second of the year on a penalty kick goal in the 54
th minute to give the Vulcans the road win. Joseph Valeriano and Exner each played a half between the pipes, with Valeriano making three saves and Exner recording one.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Carter Luckenbaugh (York, Pa./Central York) holds the team lead in points with eight on eight assists. The freshman also leads the league in helpers. Bazadona III has three goals for six points on the season, while Transue and
Brett Milden (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) each have five points. Seven other Huskies have recorded points on the season. In net, Lesage owns a 2.28 goals-against-average as well as a .670 save percentage (10
th). His 61 total saves are the third-highest total in the league.
SCOUTING CALIFORNIA (PA)
Eric Campbell leads the Vulcans with three goals for six points on the season. Ismael Garcia (2 G) and Anthony Papageorgiou (2 G) have each recorded four points on the year, while eight other Vulcans have recorded points on the season. Exner and Valeriano have split time in goal, with Exner playing and starting in 10 matches. He owns a 3.17 goals-against-average, a .639 save percentage and has made 46 saves. Valeriano has played to a 2.70 GAA, a .667 save percentage and 26 total saves through six matches.
