STORYLINE
The Huskies look to open their regular season with two non-conference games as part of the Carol Eckman Memorial Tournament. The first game is against a regional opponent in Glenville State followed by a matchup with Livingstone College.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg is 1-1 all-time versus Glenville State.
This will be the first ever meeting between Bloomsburg and Livingstone.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Bloomsburg dropped their Division I exhibition at Buffalo 64-32 back on Friday (Nov. 3). Taylor Montana (Berwick, Pa./Berwick)'s nine points led the Huskies, while Leah Myers (York, Pa./Eastern York) had seven and Meghan Corridoni (Exeter, Pa./Holy Redeemer) chipped in six. Corridoni also led the team with 30 minutes on the floor. Montana also played 26, while Emma Saxton (York, Pa./Central York) logged 25. Megan Brandt (Lebanon, Pa./Northern Lebanon) and Myers were the other Huskies to log at least 20 minutes. Six rebounds apiece from Myers and Lauren Oeth (Doylestown, Pa./Germantown Academy) paced the effort on the glass.
 
LAST MEETING
Bloomsburg defeated then ninth-ranked Glenville State in the Atlantic regional semifinal of the NCAA tournament back on Mar. 15, 2014 by a score of 91-78.
 
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Alison Tagliaferri led the Huskies to an 11-17 mark in her first season, including a 9-13 record in PSAC play. The team played well down the stretch of the season, winning 10 of their last 15 games before falling to Shippensburg in the PSAC quarterfinal.
 
Without a single senior on the roster, the Huskies will look to their two returning juniors in Alyssa Mack (Walnutport, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) and Taylor Sneidman (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) for leadership. As a sophomore, Mack averaged 13.2 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game. Other returners who gained experience last season include Taylor Montana (Berwick, Pa./Berwick), Marissa Molnar (Erie, Pa./McDowell), Meghan Corridoni (Exeter, Pa./Holy Redeemer) and Leah Myers (York, Pa./Eastern York). Seven freshmen will boost the roster.
 
The Huskies finished the year in the conference top 10 in several defensive categories last season, including being second in blocked shots per game (4.0) and third in total blocked shots (112). Bloomsburg was also sixth in total steals (135) and in turnovers forced per game (17.93), while being seventh in scoring defense (63.2) and steals per game (8.0).
 
SCOUTING GLENVILLE STATE
The Pioneers are coming off a season in which they went 24-6, including 18-4 in the Mountain East Conference, and also went to the NCAA tournament. A season ago, the Pioneers led the MEC in several offensive, defensive and rebounding categories. GSC led the league and the nation in scoring offense (94.1), while leading the MEC in assists (563) and assists per game (18.8). On the defensive end, they led the league in steals (425), steals per game (14.2) and turnovers forced (24.33). They were also third in the league in blocked shots (98), blocked shots per game (3.3) and eighth in scoring defense (75.5). The Pioneers also led the conference in scoring margin (+18.7) and turnover margin (+10.77). Honorable mention All-American, first team All-Region and reigning MEC Player of the Year Paris McLeod returns for her senior season for Glenville State, after finishing in the top 15 in eight statistical categories. She was also second in the country in steals with 118, and steals per game with 3.93.
 
SCOUTING LIVINGSTONE
The Blue Bears played to a 14-13 record last season, including a 9-7 record in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (CIAA). The Blue Bears advanced to the CIAA tournament last year, falling to Virginia State 66-61 in the first round. They return All-Conference selection Zena Lovette, who led the team in scoring averaging 17.0 points per game. She also hauled in 9.2 rebounds per game, totaled 1.4 steals per game and 1.3 assists per game.

Bloomsburg will travel to the University of the Sciences for a non-conference matchup on Wednesday (Nov. 15). Tip-off is slated for 6:00 p.m.
