STORYLINE
The Huskies look to pick up their first win in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play, and potentially even out their conference record. California (Pa.) comes into the matchup with just one loss and ranked No. 4 in the nation, while Slippery Rock comes in at .500.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg is 9-14 all-time versus California (Pa.).
Bloomsburg is 15-11 all-time versus Slippery Rock.
 
LAST MEETING
Then No. 2 California (Pa.) defeated the Huskies 80-45 back on Dec. 18, 2016 at Bloomsburg's Nelson Field House. Led by 13 points from senior Morgan Klunk, Taylor Sneidman (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) also added seven and Taylor Montana (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) scored five. Meghan Corridoni (Exeter, Pa./Holy Redeemer) scored four, Marissa Molnar (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and Leah Myers (York, Pa./Eastern York) each chipped in three and Alyssa Mack (Walnutport, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) contributed two.
 
The Huskies defended home court in their last game against The Rock with an 81-65 win back on Jan. 3, 2016. Mack led the Huskies with 20 points in that game.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Huskies erased a third-quarter deficit to secure the comeback win at Chestnut Hill Tuesday night (Nov. 28), defeating the Griffins 58-53. The Huskies trailed by seven after the first quarter, but played a strong second quarter out-scoring the Griffins 22-13 in the frame. It took a last-second long ball from Darcy Lee (Altoona, Pa./Bishop Guilfoyle) to give the Huskies the two-point halftime lead. The Huskies were out-scored 21-15 in the third quarter and trailed by two heading to the final 10 minutes. The fourth quarter saw the Huskies out-score Chestnut Hill 17-8, holding their opponent to single-digit scoring for the second straight game. As a team, Bloomsburg shot 38.1 percent from the floor, 29.4 percent from downtown and just 35.7 percent from the charity stripe. The Huskies out-rebounded the Griffins 49-40, including 18-14 on the offensive glass and 31-26 on the defensive end. Individually, the Huskies had two players score in double figures, including a career-high 16 points from Lee and 12 from Myers. Myers finished the night one rebound shy of a double-double with a career-high nine on the night. Lauren Oeth (Doylestown, Pa./Germantown Academy) chipped in nine points on the night, falling one point shy of a double-double, as she also pulled down a new career-high 10 boards. Six other Huskies found the scoring column in the win, while Myers and Sneidman each dished out a team-high four assists, marking another career-high for Myers.
 
The Vulcans lost for the first time this season at Ohio Dominican on Wednesday (Nov. 29) 93-75. Ohio Dominican led 21-18 after one quarter and took control of the game in the second, out-scoring California (Pa.) 27-14 in the frame. Cal maintained a close game in the second half, only being out-scored by two in the third and fourth quarters combined. Five Vulcans scored in double figures, led by 17 points from Jiahna Flood-Francis. Shatara Parsons poured in 16, while Mia Cushon added 12. Abbey Sporio chipped in 11, while DJ Hahn capped off her night with 10 points.
 
The Rock traveled to Lock Haven on Saturday, Dec. 2. Results were not gathered in time for this preview. Slippery Rock last played on Nov. 25 when they fell to Walsh University at home 79-68. Three players scored in double figures for The Rock, led by 21 points from Ciara Patterson. Madison Johnson and Brooke Hinderliter each added 13 in the loss.
 
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies score 58.4 points per game, and are also third in the league in scoring defense giving up 62.4 points per game. As a team, Bloomsburg shoots 39.7 percent from the field, 25.5 percent from long range and 62.0 percent from the free throw line. The Huskies are eighth in the league in rebounding, pulling down 39.7 boards per game, while also being seventh in the league in rebounding defense, allowing 38.9. Individually, Montana leads the team in scoring, dropping 7.9 points per game. Corridoni is second on the team with an average of 7.4 points per game, while Lee is scoring 6.1. Every other Husky on the roster has contributed points on the season. Montana also leads the team in rebounding, pulling down 5.7 boards per game. Myers is second on the team in rebounding with an average of 4.9 per game, while Corridoni pulls down 4.6 per game. Six Huskies have recorded double-digit assists on the season, led by 16 from Sneidman. Payton Spadaccino (Ivyland, Pa./Council Rock South) has 14 on the year, followed by Myers with 13 and Emma Saxton (York, Pa./Central York) with 12. Mack has also dished out 11 while Megan Brandt (Lebanon, Pa./Northern Lebanon) has 10 on the season. Sneidman also leads the team in minutes, with a team-high average of 28.0. Corridoni has the second-highest average logging 20.7, while Saxton plays 20.3 per game.
 
SCOUTING CALIFORNIA (Pa.)
The Vulcans come into the weekend fourth in the PSAC in scoring average at 75.3 points per game, and also second in scoring defense allowing 61.2 points per game. Their +14.2 scoring margin is also third in the league. Parsons in second in the league in scoring average with a mark of 22.8 points per game to lead the Vulcans. Two other Vulcans in Cushon (13.7) and Hahn (12.7) average double-figure scoring. The Vulcans are second in the league in rebounding defense, allowing only 33.8 rebounds per game. Their +4.7 rebounding margin is third in the league. Cushon also averages a team-high 9.7 boards per game.
 
SCOUTING SLIPPERY ROCK
The Rock is tied for sixth in the PSAC in scoring, pouring in 74.0 points per game. The Rock also allows 71.7 points per game, good for a +2.3 scoring margin, which is eighth in the league. Individually, Hinderliter's 15.7 points per game leads the team and is tied for 12th in the conference. Johnson's 14.2 points per game is also the 19th-highest total in the league. The Rock is second in the league in rebounding, hauling in 43.0 rebounds per game, while also allowing 40.3 per game. Hinderliter's 6.3 boards per game also lead the team, while Patterson is second on the team with an average of 4.0. Hinderliter is also the only player with double-digit assists, leading the team with 16.

The Huskies are back in the friendly confines of the Nelson Field House next Saturday (Dec. 9) when they play host to Clarion in a PSAC matchup. Tip-off for that contest is slated for 3:00 p.m.
