Hartsville, S.C. - The Bloomsburg University softball team fell, 3-2, to King University on Saturday evening. With the loss, the Huskies drop to 0-2 on the season.
Emily Mayhew (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) drove in Emily Getz (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) on a sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning. Taylor Winkleman also scored on the play, due to a throwing error by the shortstop.
Taylor Parker (Dewart, Pa./Warrior Run) pitched six innings and gave up just one earned run, while striking out seven batters.
The Huskies will be back in action for two games tomorrow, with a 9 a.m. contest versus the University of Charleston, and an 11 a.m. game against Fairmont State.
