SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Bloomsburg enters the weekend with a record of 2-2 after splitting four games at the Coker College Spring Tournament, two weeks ago.
Emily Mayhew (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) has gotten off to a strong start, recording hits in seven of her first 13 at-bats, and has scored three runs. Additionally,
Kelsey Impink (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) leads the team with two home runs, six RBI and 11 total bases.
In the circle,
Taylor Parker (Dewart, Pa./Warrior Run) has logged 15 innings of work, and struck out 18 batters while posting a 2.33 earned run average.
SCOUTING SHEPHERD
The Rams enter the weekend with a 5-4 record, while riding a two-game winning streak.
Sophomore outfielder Kaitlyn Konopka leads the team offensively, collecting 10 hits – four doubles and five RBI's – in 24 plate appearances. Junior outfielder Jessica Robinson and sophomore infielder Morgan Cox also have five RBI's apiece.
Pitchers, Tara Hanson and Lori Sturgill, both have two wins on their records. Hanson has two complete games under her belt, while Sturgill has a complete game shutout.
SCOUTING URSULINE
Ursuline enters the tournament with a 5-5 record after winning four of their last five games.
On offense, senior catcher Kaitlin Krajcik has 13 hits and three doubles in 27 plate appearances this season. Hitting the long ball for Ursuline is junior infielder Rosie Lyard and senior infielder Snow Brigitte. Both players have one home run entering the Salem International Tournament.
On the hill, senior Brittany Humbel has a 3-1 record with 35 strikeouts to accompany a 2.21 ERA. Junior Gina Rosshirt has pitched 21.2 innings with 11 strikeouts.
SCOUTING WINSTON-SALEM
The Rams enter the tournament with a mark of 3-12 on the season, and have lost six of their last seven contests. Rebecca Demko leads the team offensively with 14 hits, while Mercedes Hargett is tops with three home runs and seven RBI.
On the mound, Hargett has recorded all three wins for Winston-Salem, and has struck out 35 batters while giving up 39 earned runs in 68.2 innings of work.
