STORYLINE
The Huskies open PSAC play and look to break up a seven-game losing streak in this doubleheader against Mansfield. The Mountaineers also will open conference play in this matchup and will look to build on a four-game winning streak.

LAST MEETING
Bloomsburg swept a doubleheader from Mansfield winning game one, 5-1 and game number two by a score of 6-1. In game one Taylor Parker (Dewart, Pa./Warrior Run) through a two hitter to earn the win and to move to 7-1 on the year while Bridget Casey (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) went 3-4 at the plate with an RBI. In the second game, Sarah Bortner (Glenville, Pa./South Western) followed Parker by throwing another two-hitter earning her eleventh win of the year. Maggie Hall (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown) lead the offense by going 3-4 with three RBI including a solo homerun. These two wins extended the Huskies winning streak to eleven.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
On offense, the Huskies are seventh in the PSAC with a .287 team batting average. Sophomore Taylor Winkleman leads the Huskies with 22 hits and has a healthy batting average of .379. Freshman Julia Knight (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) has come on strong at the plate improving her average to .500 (7-14) in the past four games. Kalynn Wheeland (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) (.375), Emily Getz (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) (.333), Kelsey Impink (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) (.321), and Emily Mayhew (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) (.306) also have batting averages above .300 this season. Taylor Parker (Dewart, Pa./Warrior Run) is having a solid year at the plate as well as in the circle. Parker is hitting .315 with 17 hits while posting an era of 2.89 and a record of 4-4. Parker has struck out 55 batters in 53.1 innings. Mallory Tomaschik (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) (3.15 ERA) and Alyssa Davies (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) (3.94 ERA) have also received the majority of the work in the circle along with Parker. The team has a team ERA of 3.36 - 11th in the PSAC. Errors have cost the Huskies dearly, as the team has made 31 miscues in 18 games and rank 14th in the PSAC in fielding percentage (.941).
SCOUTING MANSFIELD
Laura Lawson has been leading the Mansfield offensive attack this season. Lawson is hitting .412 and leads the team in hits (21), doubles (8) and plate appearances (51). Koryn Wickwire has also been a force at the plate with a batting average of .432 with 16 hits, five of them being doubles. Hannah Breitigan leads the team in average (minimum of 15 at bats) with an average of .438. In the circle, Arianna Young has been the ace. Young has posted an era of 2.51 and a record of 7-2 with 22 strikeouts. Young also has pitched six complete games. Sierra Storm has also had a lot of action, making seven appearances with six starts. Strom has a record of 2-1 while posting an era of 3.16 with 17 strikeouts and two complete games.Â
