PREVIEW: Softball takes Nine-Game Winning Streak into Battle with Philadelphia

 STORYLINE
Bloomsburg comes into the non-conference matchup riding a nine-game winning streak and hasn't allowed a run in 37 consecutive innings. They will take on a Philadelphia team that is looking to snap a four-game losing streak after doubleheader sweeps by Chestnut Hill and St. Thomas Aquinas.
 
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg enters the doubleheader with a 20-12 record (11-1 PSAC) after sweeping Millersville, Pitt-Johnstown and Clarion (Senior Day) this past week. The Huskies combined to outscore their three opponents, 36-0, in those six contests.
 
Taylor Winkelman leads the team with a .387 batting average, 41 hits and 27 runs scored on the season. Taylor Parker (Dewart, Pa./Warrior Run) is right behind her with a .367 batting average and a team-high six home runs and 25 RBI.
 
In the circle, Parker is 10-5 with a 1.94 ERA and 13 complete games, including one in each of her last seven outings. Parker has given up just five hits and zero runs, while striking out 33 batters in her last three outings, and opponents are hitting just .197 against her this season.
 
Mallory Tomaschik (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) is second with eight wins, and has struck out 82 batters in 78.0 innings on the season. Tomaschik has thrown eight complete games and opponents are hitting just .213 against her this season.
 
SCOUTING PHILADELPHIA
Naomi Stas leads the team with 45 hits, 20 RBI and a .360 batting average for the year. Following her is Stephanie Pepper, who is tied with Stas for the team lead with three home runs, and has driven in 13 runs this season.
 
In the circle, Stas has registered eight wins and 12 complete games in 103.2 innings of work. She has struck out 60 batters and has an ERA of 1.22. Stephanie Pepper has tallied six wins while posting a 2.30 ERA in 97.1 innings pitched this year.
