Erie, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team fell on the road, 13-5, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup versus Mercyhurst on Saturday afternoon. With the defeat, the Huskies are now 8-7 (5-6 PSAC), while the Lakers moved to 9-4 (7-3 PSAC) on the season.

Hannah Jaskuta (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown Area) led the way for Bloomsburg with two goals and an assist, while Brigid Kyne and Cailyn Gormley (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) added a goal and an assist, respecitvely.

Mercyhurst showed why it is the defending PSAC Champions, as the Lakers jumped out to a 10-0 advantage in the first half, and never looked back. 

Carly Zimmerman and Taylor Izzo each tallied three goals for Mercyhurst in the games' first 30 minutes.

Bloomsburg came out firing to start the second half, as Gormley, Kyne and Lindsey Coyle each scored to make it a 10-3 game with 16 minutes left in the game.

The two teams traded shots for the next seven minutes, until Mercyhurst put the game away with three goals between the nine minute and six minute mark.

Jaskuta would score the final two goals for Bloomsburg in the last 3:21 of the contest.

In goal, Angela DiPasquale (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) made seven saves.
