Box Score ERIE, Pa.- The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team dropped their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match at Gannon on Saturday (Sept. 16), by a score of 3-0.
The Golden Knights scored in the 15
th minute to get on the board on a penalty kick goal by Mathias Krigbaum. Gannon would double their lead in the 24
th minute on a goal from Alex Lee Yaw, with Krigbaum getting the helper. The home team took its 2-0 lead to the half.
Krigbaum found the back of the net again in the 62
nd minute, when a deflection off Huskies keeper
Taylor Lesage (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) bounced right to him. Krigbaum stashed the rebound home, putting the Golden Knights ahead for good 3-0.
Bloomsburg totaled eight shots in the contest, five of them on frame.
Brett Milden (Mullica Hill, N.J./Clearview Regional) fired three shots on net, while
Austin Transue (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) registered two.
Duncan Mitchell (Glen Rock, Pa./Susquehannock),
Matt Goodall (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) and
Samuel Izzo (Frankford, Del./Indian River) each recorded one shot in the contest. Lesage made nine saves in the loss.
The Huskies return home on Friday (Sept. 22) when they welcome Mercyhurst for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff at Steph Pettit Stadium.
