STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team will be looking to keep its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) playoff hopes alive as it travels to take on the Marauders of Millersville University on Wednesday night. The Huskies currently sit in tenth place with nine points in the conference standings but are just four points behind Seton Hill which currently occupies the sixth, and final, playoff spot. The Maraduers, meanwhile, are fifth in the league standings with 14 points.
Â
ALL-TIME SERIES
Millersville leads the all-time series, 33-15-5. Last season, the Marauders scored two second-half goals to knock off the Huskies, 2-0, at Steph Pettit Stadium.
Taylor Lesage (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) recorded five saves in the losing effort for Bloomsburg.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg is in the midst of a three-game losing streak which saw its record drop to 6-8 overall and a 3-5 conference record. The Huskies dropped a pair of conference matchups last weekend, losing 1-0 in overtime against Seton Hill on Friday before falling 3-0 at East Stroudsburg on Sunday. The Griffins were able to score just 1:25 into the first overtime period and then, against East Stroudsburg, a late first-half red card proved to be the crucial point of the match as the Huskies allowed two second-half goals to break open a close match. Sophomore goalkeeper
Brock Gould (York, Pa./Red Lion) recorded five saves in both games for the Huskies. The last win for the Huskies was on October 6 as Bloomsburg defeated Slippery Rock 4-1, during Homecoming Weekend. In that game, juniorÂ
Tyler Madeira (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) became the first Huskies' player to record a hat trick in a game since Karl Lohninger scored three times in a 9-1 win over Bloomfield on October 18, 2003. Madeira leads the team in scoring with 18 points on eight goals and two assists. Those marks currently have him tied for fourth in the conference in points and tied for third in goals. He is also tied for fifth in the league with three game-winning goals. Sophomore
Carter Luckenbaugh (York, Pa./Central York) follows behind with eight points from one goal and six assists. He sits third in the PSAC in assists - a category he led last year as a freshman. SophomoreÂ
Thomas King (West Chester, Pa./B. Reed Henderson) is third with two goals and an assist for five points. Eight other players have registered at least one point on the season. Gould has started each of the last nine matches in goal and is 4-5 with a 1.66 goals against average and a .746 save percentage. He is second in the PSAC in saves per game (4.89) and ranks tied for sixth in the league in save percentage. SophomoreÂ
Trey Orner (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) started the first five contests and is 2-3 with a 1.80 goals against average and a .710 save percentage on the year.
SCOUTING MILLERSVILLE
Millersville enters Wednesday's contest with a 6-3-5 record overall and a 4-2-2 mark in the conference which has it in fifth place in the league standings. They are currently on a three-match unbeaten streak (2-0-1) after defeating Slippery Rock, 4-0, on Friday afternoon and then tying Shippensburg, 1-1, on Sunday afternoon. Chase Flickinger leads the team in scoring with 14 points on five goals and four assists. He is tied for seventh in the league in assists and is ninth in the league in shots per game (2.86). Jaxson Burns trails him with 12 points (five goals, two assists) and currently is tied for second in the PSAC in game-winning goals (4). Spencer Shortt leads the team in assists with five and is tied for fifth in the PSAC in that category. Darian McCauley has started all 14 games in goal for the Marauders and has a 6-3-5 record. He has three shutouts, which has him tied for sixth in the league, and ranks fourth in the PSAC in both goals against average (1.11) and save percentage (.770).
