STORYLINE
The Huskies look to rebound in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central division play when they take on Indiana (Pa.) (IUP) at home on Friday (Apr. 13) and travel to Mansfield on Saturday (Apr. 14). 
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
This will be the 70thand 71stall-time meetings between Bloomsburg and IUP. BU holds the all-time series lead 59-10. 
 
These games will be the 119thand 120thall-time meetings between Bloomsburg and Mansfield. The Huskies lead the all-time series 104-14. 
 
LAST MEETING
BU split its last meeting with IUP on Apr. 21, 2017 winning game one 9-5 and dropping game two 5-2. Bloomsburg opened the scoring in game one in the top of the first with one run, before padding their lead to 4-0 with four runs in the second. IUP got on the board in the bottom of the second with two runs, before BU pulled away with three runs in the fourth and two in the sixth. IUP scored three times in the bottom of the seventh but BU held on for the win. BU scored nine runs on 13 hits while committing two errors in the win. Four Huskies had two hits apiece in the win, while another five each contributed one hit. Holly Peacock (Williamsport, Pa./Jersey Shore) drove in three runs, while Emily Getz (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) and Kelsey Impink (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) each drove in two and Emily Mayhew (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) and Alexa Erney (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) each brought home one. Taylor Parker (Dewart, Pa./Warrior Run) scored two runs in the win, while seven others each crossed the plate once. Parker also got the win in the circle allowing five runs, four earned on four hits in a complete game. She walked four and struck out nine in the win. 
 
Game two stayed scoreless until the bottom of the third when IUP scored the first run. The Crimson Hawks would score two runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings to pull away, while BU got plated two runs in the top of the seventh.  IUP would hold on to salvage a split on the afternoon. Parker had two hits in the game to pace the offense, while three other Huskies had one hit each. Anna McElroy (Jessup, Pa./Valley View) and Marissa Shelhamer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) each drove in one run in the contest, while Abbey Remley (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area) and Impink each scored a run. Mallory Tomaschik (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) took the loss in 3.1 innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits while not allowing a walk and striking out four. Alyssa Davies (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) and Erin Smith (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock Area) also recorded relief appearances in the game. 
 
Mansfield swept Bloomsburg back on Apr. 8, winning game one 4-3 and game two 6-4. 
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Huskies fell to Mansfield back on Apr. 8 falling in game one 4-3 and game two 6-4. The Huskies opened the scoring in game one with two runs in the bottom of the first, coming on a Shelhamer sacrifice fly that scored Taylor Winkelman (Springfield, Pa/Springfield) and a Remley single up the middle that scored Maggie Hall (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown). Mansfield would cut the lead in half to make it 2-1 with one run in the third on a sacrifice fly. The Huskies would move their lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth when Mayhew singled home Winkelman, and the game would be scoreless from there until the seventh. Mansfield would deliver a big blow in the top of the seventh, scoring three runs to take a 4-3 lead. They would hold that lead to take game one. 
 
Bloomsburg scored three runs on 12 hits while committing one error in the loss. Winkelman posted a 4-4 effort with two runs scored to lead the offense, while Hall was 3-4 with one run scored. Remley was also 2-3 in the effort while Mayhew, Kalynn Wheeland (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) and Shelhamer each had one hit in the game. Remley, Mayhew and Shelhamer each drove in runs in the game. Davies (3-5) took the tough loss in the circle in a complete game effort. The redshirt junior allowed four runs, three earned on seven hits while walking four and striking out two.  
 
In game two, Mansfield opened the scoring with one run in the top of the second before BU would tie it up in their half of the second. After Wheeland led off with a double to right center, a groundout up the middle by Shelhamer advanced Wheeland 60 feet further to third. Wheeland would score on a wild pitch during Getz's at-bat. Mansfield would get their second run in the top of the third, before the game would head to the bottom of the fifth with that same score. BU would put together a big inning in the bottom of the fifth to take a 4-2 lead. Three runs in the bottom of the fifth put the Huskies up 4-2, beginning with a two-out walk drawn by Bridget Casey (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge). The walk turned the card over for Winkelman, who laced the first pitch she saw through the left side to move Casey to second. Hall would keep the inning alive with a single up the middle that scored Casey from second, moved Winkelman to third and allowed herself to advance to second on the throw home. Mayhew would follow it up with a RBI single through the left side to score Winkelman and move Hall to third. Wheeland would score Hall on a RBI single through the left side to score the third run of the inning and leave BU ahead 4-2 heading to the sixth. After a scoreless sixth, Mansfield would again do damage in the seventh with four runs to take a 6-4 lead for good. The Huskies could not recover in the bottom half of the seventh, and Mansfield was able to secure the road sweep. 
 
It was Wheeland who paced the BU offense in game two with a 2-3 effort, one RBI and a run scored while four others recorded hits in the loss. Winkelman, Hall and Casey also scored runs in the game, while Hall and Mayhew each drove in one run. Abby Wild (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) (3-3) took the loss in game two, allowing four runs on two hits over two innings. She walked three and struck out one in the effort. Tara Baney (Howard, Pa./Bellefonte) fired five innings allowing two runs on five hits while walking two and striking out three. 
 
IUP and Mansfield split their last doubleheader on Monday (Apr. 9), with IUP winning game one 9-5 and Mansfield taking game two 3-2. Mansfield opened the scoring in game one with two runs in the first on a dinger from Racheal Sterner that scored Joelle Snyder, before scoring two more runs in the bottom of the second. Snyder scored Melanie Taylor on a RBI single in the second, before Koryn Wickwire singled down the right field line to score Deshae Jones. IUP got on the board in the top of the third on a sacrifice fly by Kassie Kesneck that scored Lauren Goetz, before Mansfield scored in their half of the third on a homer by Taylor Chidester. IUP would erupt for four innings in the top of the fourth to take the lead for good. The Crimson Hawks would also score once in each of the fifth and sixth innings before padding two more runs on in the seventh, holding Mansfield scoreless for the final four innings. IUP's four runs came on one swing from Megan Little as her grand slam scored Goetz, Amanda Parrish and Renee Wall to tie the game at five. IUP took the lead for good in the fifth on a Wall double that scored Kaitlyn Beers, before Kesneck homered to left in the sixth to put the Crimson Hawks up by two. IUP scored their final two runs in the seventh on a two-RBI double by Parrish that scored Olivia Gregorich and Beers. 
 
IUP scored nine runs on eight hits while not committing an error in the win. Wall led the offense with three hits, while Parrish recorded two hits and three others each tallied one hit. Little drove home a game-high four runs, while Parrish and Kesneck each drove in two and Wall brought home one. Goetz and Beers each scored twice, while five others each crossed the plate once. Brooklyn Kotula got the win with three innings in relief, allowing one hit and two walks while also recording one strikeout. She relieved starter Lauren Zola who allowed five runs on seven hits in 2.2 innings with four walks and one strikeout. Megan Risinger also fired 1.1 scoreless innings allowing one hit in the win. 
 
Snyder and Taylor each had two hits in the loss for Mansfield, while five other Mountaineers tallied one hit apiece. Sterner drove in two runs, while three others drove in one run each. Five different Mountaineers scored runs in the loss. Arianna Young took the loss in game one allowing seven runs, six earned on seven hits through 5.2 innings. She walked four and struck out three in the effort. Conor Decker also tossed 1.1 innings of relief, allowing two runs on one hit with three walks. 
 
IUP scored the first run of game two in the second on a RBI single to right by Parrish that scored Wall. The Crimson Hawks would score again in the fourth with another Parrish RBI single scoring Wall to make it 2-0. The game went to the bottom of the seventh with IUP still up 2-0, before Mansfield would score three runs in the bottom of the seventh to walk it off. The inning began with Casey Pearce dropping a single down the right field line. Anastasia Hester would single to center to advance Pearce to second, before Taylor laid down a bunt single to load the bases with no outs. Leah McGovern recorded the first out and scored the first run with a sacrifice fly to center that scored Pearce, before Chidester flied out to center for the second out. Snyder would play the two-out hero for the Mountaineers, driving a double to right center that scored Taylor from second and Hester from first to give Mansfield the walk-off win. 
 
Wall and Parrish each had two hits in the contest for IUP, while Alaina Montgomery and Alaina Laverick each had one. Parrish drove in both of IUP's runs in the game, while Wall scored both runs. Risinger took the loss in the circle for IUP, allowing three runs on eight hits through 6.2 innings. She walked and struck out one each in the effort. 
 
Taylor paced Mansfield's offense with a 3-3 effort, while Snyder had two hits and three other Mountaineers had one hit apiece in the win. Snyder drove in two runs including the game-winner, while McGovern drove in the Mansfield's third run. Three different Mountaineers scored runs in the win. Sierra Storm got the win in the circle for Mansfield allowing two runs on six hits while walking one and striking out two. 
 
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies are seventh in the league in batting average hitting to a .293 clip, while owning the fourth-best slugging percentage (.447) in the league and also a .330 on-base percentage (OBP). Wheeland's .443 average leads the team and is also fifth individually in the PSAC, while Ashli Venokur (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick)'s .395 batting average is 12thin the conference. Wheeland also leads the team and is fourth in the league in slugging percentage with a mark of .786. Among everyday players, Wheeland's .475 OBP also leads the team and is 11thin the PSAC individually. BU is tied for second in the conference in doubles with 44, has hit two triples and is also fourth in the conference in home runs with 19. Winkelman, Mayhew and Hall share the team lead in doubles with seven which is tied for eighth in the PSAC, while Wheeland also has six doubles on the season. Hall and Smith have each hit triples for BU on the season. Wheeland's six bleacher creatures lead the team and are tied for third in the PSAC, while seven other Huskies have belted long balls on the season. Bloomsburg owns a 4.34 earned run average (ERA) as a team on the season, led by Baney's mark of 2.26 which is 11thin the conference through 65 innings. Davies also owns a 4.34 ERA through 50 innings, while Wild, Smith, Balee Leeser (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) and Nicolette Ray (Abington, Pa./Abington) have contributed a combined 49.1 innings in the circle. The pitching staff also owns a .290 batting average against which is tied for eighth in the conference. As a team, BU owns a .946 fielding percentage. 
 
SCOUTING IUP
IUP hits .220 as a team on the season while slugging .326 and also owning a .315 OBP. Wall leads the team with a .386 batting average while Beers (.300) is the only other Crimson Hawk to hit at least .300 on the year. Wall's .682 slugging percentage also leads the team and is seventh in the conference, while her .473 OBP is also the best on the team and 12thindividually in the league. IUP has hit 17 doubles on the season along with eight home runs. Wall's seven doubles lead the team and are tied for eighth in the conference, while she and Kesneck are also tied in the team lead for home runs with two. Five other Crimson Hawks have gone yard so far on the season. IUP owns the fifth-best ERA in the conference at 2.93 as well as the seventh-best batting average against with a mark of .287. Kotula's 1.83 ERA is the lowest on the team through only 7.2 innings, while Risinger owns a mark of 2.85 through 46.2 innings and Zola has pitched to a clip of 3.16 in 55.1 innings. IUP is the fifth-best team in the conference, tied with Mercyhurst with a .964 fielding percentage. 
 
SCOUTING MANSFIELD
Mansfield leads the conference in hitting with a .350 team batting average, while being second in the conference in slugging percentage (.493) and leading the conference in OBP (.416). Snyder's .407 average leads the team among everyday players and is also 11thin the PSAC, while Pearce (.400) is the only other Mountaineer with a batting average of at least .400. Four other Mountaineers are hitting at least .300 on the season. Sterner's .833 slugging percentage leads the team and is second in the conference, while Snyder's .500 OBP leads the team and also third in the PSAC. Mansfield owns a 4.49 team ERA, led by Storm's 3.06 mark in 32 innings. Young has thrown to a 4.90 mark through 30 innings, while Decker and Brooke Roys have also contributed five innings in the circle. Mansfield is also the second-best fielding team in the conference with a .970 fielding percentage.
