STORYLINE
Bloomsburg will be looking to snap a three-match losing streak when it entertains Gannon University on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Knights are coming off of their first win of the 2018 season while the Huskies have been outscored, 9-1, over the last three contests after starting the season with back-to-back shutout victories.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg is just 3-13-1 lifetime against the Golden Knights. Last season, Gannon handed the Huskies a 3-0 loss in Erie with Mathias Krigbaum scoring a pair of goals for the Golden Knights in the victory.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
After starting the season with back-to-back shutout victories at Shepherd (August 30) and at home against Bloomfield (September 1), the Huskies have dropped each of their last three matches and have been outscored, 9-1, in the process. Bloomsburg saw its winless streak reach three with a 4-0 loss to visiting Lock Haven in the PSAC opener on Wednesday night. Junior
Tyler Madeira (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) has scored the Huskies' only goal over the last three games - a penalty kick tally with 18 minutes left in regulation against Shaw. It was his first goal of the season and second goal of his career. Sophomore
Thomas King (West Chester, Pa./B. Reed Henderson) continues to lead the Huskies in scoring with a goal and an assist for three points. All of his damage came in the season-opening victory at Shepherd. Madeira, senior
Kevin Rodriguez (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove), and junior
Matt Goodall (Perry Hall, Md./Perry Hall) have also scored goals for the Huskies while junior
Mike Bazadona III (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) and sophomores
Lael Cherry (Gros Islet, St. Lucia/Castries Comprehensive) and
Carter Luckenbaugh (York, Pa./Central York) have each posted an assist on the young season. King and Rodriguez have the game-winning goals for the Huskies. In goal, sophomore
Trey Orner (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) has started all four matches and is 2-3 with a 1.80 goals against average and a .710 save percentage. He was named the PSAC Co-Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, September 4. Orner is tied for the PSAC lead in shutouts and is fifth in the conference in saves per game (4.40).

SCOUTING GANNON
After starting the season with three consecutive road losses, Gannon picked up its first win of the year on Wednesday with a 4-0 home win over Pitt-Johnstown in its conference opener. Sam Thornton scored twice for the Golden Knights while Tyler Martin and Martin Nord-Varhaug Aanestad also scored in the win. Gannon outshot Pitt-Johnstown, 22-1, to improve to 1-3 on the year. With his two goals on Wednesday, Thornton took over the team lead in scoring with two goals for four points. Martin is second with one goal and one assist for three points. Nord-Varhaug Aanestad, Cameron Alexander, and Eduardo de Bonis Encinoso have also registered goals on the season for the Golden Knights. Declan Bingham has a team-high two assists and is tied for third in the conference in that category. Hedi Mehnaoui has started all four matches in goal and is 1-3 with a 3.02 goals against average and a .375 save percentage. Georgios Zarzavatsidis has appeared in two games in relief and has a 2.89 goals against average and a .600 save percentage.

The Huskies will be on the road next Friday, September 21, when they take on the Lakers of Mercyhurst University in Erie. Bloomsburg returns home on Sunday, September 23 to battle West Chester University. Start time from Steph Pettit Stadium is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
