STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University men's soccer travels to Erie on Wednesday afternoon for a non-conference matchup against the Golden Knights of Gannon University. The Huskies are looking to bounce back from a 2-1 double overtime loss to Lock Haven on Saturday while the fourth-ranked Golden Knights are 5-0 to start the season including a 2-1 win over Millersville in their most recent action last Wednesday.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Gannon leads the all-time series against Bloomsburg, 14-3-1. Last season, the Golden Knights posted a 2-0 victory over the Huskies at Steph Pettit Stadium behind a pair of goals from Sam Thornton (7th minute, 64th minute). Gannon outshot Bloomsburg, 18-11, with Brock Gould (York, Pa./Red Lion) turning aside seven Golden Knight shots in a losing effort.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg enters the matchup with a 3-4 overall record and a 2-2 mark in the PSAC Eastern Division which puts the Huskies in third place in the division. The team, however, is coming off of a heartbreaking 2-1 double overtime loss to Lock Haven at Steph Pettit Stadium on Saturday. Junior Kacper Grycel (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus) scored his first goal of the season in the 80th minute to force overtime but the Bald Eagles got a goal from Andrea DiSomma with 3:59 left in the second extra period to earn the victory. Senior Tyler Madeira (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) leads Bloomsburg with four goals and one assist for nine points on the year. He is tied for fourth in the PSAC in goals and is tied for fifth in points. Junior Carter Luckenbaugh (York, Pa./Central York) has three goals and an assist for seven points. He entered the campaign with two goals in his first two seasons combined. Sophomore Bryce Evans (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) and senior Mike Bazadona III (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) have four points apiece - Evans has scored two goals while Bazadona has a goal and two assists. Freshman Stephen Hollis (Holtsville, N.Y./Sachem East) and Grycel have three points apiece with Hollis' points coming on three assists - tied for fourth-most in the PSAC. Freshman Nolan Michaels (Independence, Ohio/St. Vincent - St. Mary) has started six of the seven games in goal for the Huskies and is 3-3 with a 1.27 goals against average and a .579 save percentage. He is sixth in the league in goals against average.

SCOUTING GANNON
The Golden Knights are 5-0 and ranked fourth in the country according to the latest United Soccer Coaches poll released on Tuesday afternoon. Gannon's calling card thus far has been its defense as the Golden Knights have allowed only two goals through the first five games of the season. Sergio Del Castillo and Lennox Crews each have two goals and an assist for five points apiece to lead the team in scoring. Anthony Marafioti leads the squad with three assists and is third on the team with three points. He is tied for fourth in the PSAC in helpers. Five other Golden Knights have single tallies on the year as the have outscored their opponents, 10-2, to date. Chandler Hallwood has been sensational in goal for Gannon as he is 5-0 with a 0.39 goals against average and a .931 save percentage. He leads the PSAC in both categories - along with saves per game (5.40) - and is tied for the league lead in shutouts with three.

UP NEXT
The Huskies will be back on the road on Saturday, October 5, when they head to the University of District of Columbia for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff. Bloomsburg does not return home until Wednesday, October 9, against West Chester at 7:00 p.m.
