The Bloomsburg University football team hits the road again this weekend as the Huskies travel to the 12
th-rank West Chester Golden Rams on on Saturday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division contest. The Huskies will be looking to snap a three-game losing skid while West Chesters enters the matchup ranked 12th in the country according to the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II poll. The Golden Rams are 5-0 on the year.

ALL-TIME SERIES
West Chester leads the all-time series against Bloomsburg 50-27. The last Huskie win came in 2017 when Bloomsburg beat West Chester 20-19 on its home field. In fact, the Huskies are 6-4 in the last 10 meetings with the Golden Rams.

- The Huskies have started a season 1-4 for the first time since 1993. That year, they were 1-5 before winning four of their final five games. 1993 was the fifth consecutive season with a slow start. From 1989 to 1993, Bloomsburg started 1-4 each year except for 1992, when they were 0-5.

Michael Allen (Oley, Pa./Fleetwood) had 65 yard receiving on Saturday, giving him 1,976 for his career and passing Tierell Johnson for sixth on the all-time record charts at Bloomsburg. Next up is Bob Tucker (2,126 from 1965-1967).

- The all-time record for Bloomsburg on October 12 is 6-8-2, with a record of 3-2-2 at home and 3-6 on the road. The first was a 29-0 loss at Susquehanna in 1901, the last a 45-7 win over Millersville in 2013. All five previous games with West Chester on this date have been losses, four at West Chester: in 1929, 1962, 1968, and 1974. The Huskies have won their last five on October 12, with the last defeat 34-3 to the Golden Rams in 1974. The most notable win was 74-13 over Mansfield in 1996, the most points Bloomsburg has ever scored against another college team.

- The 27-12 loss to Kutztown was the first time in 1,088 games in school history the Huskies have had a game with that score. The closest was a 27-13 loss to Lock Haven in 1968. This was the 33rd time in school history Bloomsburg has scored 12 points in a game, with a record of 22-10-1. The only other time BU scored 12 points in a game at Redman Stadium was in 2005, a 12-0 win over Kutztown.

- This Saturday's contest with West Chester is the 78th in the series, with Bloomsburg's record in the first 77 games standing at 27-50: 19-21 at home and 8-29 on the road, since the first game in 1925. The two schools have played every year since 1950. The Huskies have a record against the Golden Rams since 1991 of 19-12 and have split the last 12 at West Chester 6-6, after losing 23 of the first 25 away from Bloomsburg.

Bloomsburg enters Saturday's contest with a record of 1-4 overall and an 0-2 mark in the PSAC East after suffering a 27-12 setback to #24 Kutztown last Saturday. Offensively, the Huskies are 15th in the league as they are averaging only 214.6 yards of total offense over the first five weeks. Only Millersville (186.8) is averaging fewer offensive yards per game. Bloomsburg is eighth in the league on defense, allowing 361.4 yards per contest.

The Golden Rams rank eighth in the PSAC in total offense, averaging 393.4 yards per game while they sit second in rushing (180.0 yards per game) and 11
th in passing with 213.4 yards per game. Ja'Den Mckenzie leads the rush for West Chester as he is averaging 73.6 yards per game and 5.8 yards per carry and is fifth in the PSAC. Paul Dooley has completed 74-of-139 passes for 1003 yards this season. Dooley is averaging 200.6 yards per game and is eighth in the PSAC. Dan Neuhaus has caught 11 passes for 232 yards, averaging 21.09 yards per reception with a pair of scores. Lex Rosario leads the team with 18 catches for 196 yards for the year.

Jackson Taylor leads the defense with 27 total tackles while Ch'aim Smith has posted 24 tackles and a team-leading 9.5 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks.
