STORY LINE
The Bloomsburg men's soccer team enters Wednesday's contest against newly added conference opponent Shepherd University with a 5-8 overall record and a 4-4 slate in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East. The Rams are 2-10-1 overall and 0-6-1 in conference play. The Huskies currently sit as the No. 4 seed in the PSAC East with five matches remaining in the 2019 regular season

Bloomsburg and Shepherd have met just once in the history of the two schools dating back to September 21, 2019 when the Huskies won by a final score of 5-0. SeniorÂ

scored twice in the win while Nolan Michaels (Independence, Ohio/St. Vincent - St. Mary) recorded three saves in the shutout.
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies are 5-8 on the year and are coming off 3-0 loss to PSAC East opponent East Stroudsburg on Saturday. Bloomsburg is eighth in the PSAC in scoring, averaging 1.61 goals per game while holding opponents to a fifth-best 1.92 goals average for the season. Madeira leads the Bloomsburg offense with six goals and an assist good for 13 points on the season.
Carter Luckenbaugh has also notched 13 points with five goals and three assists of his own. Luckenbaugh is responsible for a pair of game-winning goals, including the game-winner over Shepherd and West Chester earlier this season. Defensively, the Huskies are tied for fifth in the PSAC in GAA (1.92) and are led the redshirt freshmanÂ
Nathan Slotnick. Slotnick boasts a 1.62 GAA for the season and has a pair of shutouts in his last four games, including against nationally ranked West Chester last Wednesday.

SCOUTING SHEPHERD
The Rams come into Wednesday's contest with a 2-10-1 overall record and a 0-6-1 mark in the PSAC East. Shepherd's only two wins come from victories over Frostburg Sate on September 5 to start the season and a 1-0 victory over Pitt-Johnstown back on September 17. Leading the offense is Steven Choque with three goals and three assists for 9 points. Carlos Castillo ranks just behind him with four goals and an assist good for eight points on the year. Defensively, the Rams are last in the PSAC with a team 3.00 GAA. Billy Wood has played a majority of the time in goal and holds a 3.17 GAA and a 0.719 save percentage.

The Huskies hit be back road on Saturday when they head to Lock Haven University for a PSAC East contest at 7:00 p.m. Lock Haven is currently 6-7 overall with a 3-4 mark in conference play.
