STORYLINE
The #6 Bloomsburg University women's soccer team is on a 12-game winning streak heading into the final three games of the regular season. The Huskies host Kutztown University on Wednesday evening for their Senior Night celebration. Bloomsburg comes into the game 14-1 on the year and 12-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East. The Golden Bears enter the contest 8-6 overall and 6-6 in the PSAC East.

ALL-TIME SERIES
Kutztown leads the all-time series 20-15-2 though Bloomsburg won the previous meeting this season 2-0. The two teams tied the previous two times. The win on October 2 snapped a nine-game winless streak against the Golden Bears.
 
SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
The Huskies have won 12 straight contests and secured a spot in the 2019 PSAC Women's Soccer Tournament. Bloomsburg leads in the conference in scoring, averaging 2.87 goals per game. Leading the Huskies offense is junior Lauren Hoelke (Blackwood, N.J./Highland Regional) who is third in the conference with 10 goals and leads the PSAC with eight assists. Sophomore Nicole Varano (Mt. Carmel, Pa./Mt. Carmel) is second on the team in scoring with 17 points behind eight goals and an assist. Varano is tied for second in the PSAC with four game-winning goals. Junior Christina Podpora (Elysburg, Pa./Southern Columbia) is second on the team and sixth in the league with five assists. Defensively, the Huskies are first in the conference with a 0.33 goals against average. Bloomsburg has allowed their opponents to take just 101 shots this season, only 46 on goal. Redshirt junior Jenna Hawkins (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) has started and played in every game for the Huskies in goal and has an impressive 0.35 GAA for the season. Hawkins leads the conference in GAA and shutouts with eight this year. Last Saturday, Hawkins tied Amy Linn (1992-95) on Bloomsburg's all-time list for career shutouts. Hawkins career has been nothing short of impressive in her three years as a Huskie as she currently has a 0.69 GAA for her career and has allowed just 38 goals in her 55 games donning the Maroon and Gold.

SCOUTING KUTZTOWN
Kutztown comes into Wednesday's contest 8-6 overall and 6-6 in conference play. The Golden Bears are eighth in the PSAC in scoring averaging 1.93 goals per game. Maggie Cecere and Emily Zwiercan each have 17 points for the Golden Bears this season as Zwiercan has eight goals and an assist for Kutztown and Cecere has seven goals and three assists. Kristina Miller leads the Golden Bears with four assists this season. Kutztown is eighth in the conference with a 1.07 GAA. Jenna Bracken has played in all but one game in net for the Golden Bears and sports a 1.26 GAA for the season. Bracken has 40 saves and a .727 save percentage for the season and has completed three solo shutouts.

UP NEXT
The Huskies head to West Chester University to battle the Golden Rams on November 6. Bloomsburg defeated WCU 2-0 earlier this season. The Huskies wrap up the regular season on November 9 when they host Millersville University at 1:00 p.m.
