STORYLINE
The Bloomsburg University field hockey team will be looking for its conference victory of the season when it hosts second-ranked West Chester at Steph Pettit Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. The Huskies are 3-7 overall and 0-2 in the PSAC while West Chester has not lost in nine contests this season and is 3-0 in league action.

ALL-TIME SERIES
West Chester leads the all-time series against Bloomsburg, 12-4. The Golden Rams have won ten straight dating back to Bloomsburg's last victory over West Chester on October 6, 2012. The two teams met earlier this season in a non-conference game at West Chester with the Golden Rams prevailing by a 5-1 final. Caitie McNamara scored twice for West Chester, who outshot the Huskies 21-2 in the contest. Freshman Meghan Longenhagen (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) scored her first career goal for Bloomsburg.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg enters the contest with a 3-7 overall record and an 0-2 mark in the PSAC. The Huskies are coming off of a split in North Carolina over the weekend as Bloomsburg defeated Queens, 2-1, in double overtime on Friday before falling to Limestone by the same score in overtime on Sunday. Bloomsburg has now played three consecutive overtime games and, overall, is 1-3 in games decided in extra frames this season. Sophomore Foto Tsioles (Kingston, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) leads the team in scoring with five goals and an assist for 11 points. Junior Cheyenne Ott (Mount Bethel, Pa./Bangor) is second on the team with two goals and an assist for five points while sophomore Madilyn McKay (Dover, Del./Polytech) and junior Emily Alker (Cresco, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) each have two goals for four points. In goal, freshman Abby Shaffer (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) has started each of the last nine games. She is 3-6 with a 2.31 goals against average and a .710 save percentage. She is fourth in the league in saves per game (5.44). Junior Hannah Barnard (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) has seen action in four games and is 0-1 with a 1.64 goals against average and a .727 save percentage.

SCOUTING WEST CHESTER
West Chester is ranked second in the country according to the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA poll, and more than likely will take over the top spot in this week's rankings as it went 3-0 last week including a 2-0 win over top-ranked Millersville. The Golden Rams are 9-0 overall, 3-0 in the league, and have outscored their opponents by a 38-3 margin on the season. Katie Thompson leads the team with ten goals and seven assists for 27 points. Five of her goals have been game-winners. Kat Roncoroni has added eight goals and two assists for 18 points while Caitlin Kelly (six goals, two assists) and Caitie McNamara (five goals, four assists) have 14 points apiece. Claire Nielsen has started all nine games in goal and is 9-0 with a 0.34 goals against average. She has needed to make only 16 saves in nine games this season.
