BLOOMSBURG, PA - Taylor Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) notched a 6-0, 6-0 victory at #1 singles as the Bloomsburg University Women's tennis team rolled to a 7-0 win over visiting Shippensburg Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Huskies improve to 12-2 overall, and 3-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).

In addition to Capoferri, Cassidy Calimer (Egg Harbor City, N.J./Absegami) notched a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Kaylin Gallagher at #2 singles, while Vitoria Nery (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Educandário Santa Maria Goretti) waltzed to a 6-0, 6-0 triumph over Kayla Tryanski at #3. Cassie Wentz (Windber, Pa./Winber Area) downed Megan Moorhead 6-0, 6-1 at #4 singles, and Isabella Sarquis (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Metodo) and Siena Cerra (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) earned wins by default at #5 and #6, respectively.

Bloomsburg earned the team doubles point thanks to a 6-1 win for Cerra and Sarquis at #1, and a 6-4 victory for Devon DiCampli (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) and Giovanna Bonito (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Reino) at #2 doubles.

The Huskies return to action this Tuesday, April 16, at home against Salem University. First serve from the Burt Reese Tennis Center is set for 4:00 p.m.
