BLOOMSBURG UNIVERSITY: SCHEDULE • ROSTER • STATISTICS
HOLY FAMILY UNIVERSITY: SCHEDULE • ROSTER • STATISTICS

 THE STORY
• The Bloomsburg University softball team hopes to bounce back from a pair of weekend losses when they battle Holy Family University in a doubleheader Tuesday afternoon. The Huskies saw their nine-game win streak snapped when they were swept by Lock Haven in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central action Saturday, but Blooomsburg still maintains sole possession of first place in the Central Division at 11-5 (24-15 overall).

THE HISTORY: BLOOMSBURG vs. HOLY FAMILY
• The Huskies hold a 12-2 all-time advantage over Holy Family, but the teams have not met since the Tigers swept Bloomsburg in a doubleheader back on March 26, 2017. The Huskies last wins in the series came in 2016, when Bloomsburg swept Holy Family in a twinbill at Hutchinson Field.

THE HUSKIES AT A GLANCE
• Erin DelPierre (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) went 2-for-4 with a run scored in game two, but the Huskies managed to plate just one run on the afternoon in a pair of PSAC Central losses at Lock Haven Saturday. Bloomsburg tallied just three hits in a 7-0 loss in game one, and was held scoreless until the sixth inning of a 3-1 loss in game two. In addition to DelPierre, Taylor Winkelman (Springfield, Pa/Springfield) and Kelsey Impink (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) had two hits apiece in game two.

• DelPierre has been excellent at the plate in her freshman season, leading the team in batting average at .433. Marissa Shelhamer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) is hitting .281 with five home runs and a team-high 25 runs batted in, while Sammi Starr (Berwick, Pa./21st Century Cyber Charter) has four long balls and 24 RBI. Alexa Erney (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) is hitting .354 and leads the Huskies with six homers, and Danielle Barnes (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) has 17 RBI and a team-high 29 runs scored.

• Abby Wild (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) has been one of most impressive pitchers in the PSAC this season, ranking third in the conference in strikeouts (128), second in opposing batting average (.204), and fifth in earned run average (ERA) at 1.85. Her 14 wins are tied for second in the PSAC this year. Tara Baney (Howard, Pa./Bellefonte) has been tremendous as well, posting a 2.37 ERA and 90 strikeouts en route to 10 wins on the year.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
• 2019 has been a struggle for Holy Family, who enters Tuesday's games at 4-36 overall, and 4-16 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). The Tigers split a pair with Jefferson last Thursday thanks to a strong pitching performance from Hannah Miravich in a 5-1 game one victory. Miravich scattered four hits and allowed just one earned run in the victory.

• Miravich has started 15 games in the circle for Holy Family and has a 7.92 ERA, while Ashley Remington has also started 15 games and has a 6.95 ERA and a team-high 88 strikeouts.

• The Holy Family offense is led by Sam Klem, who is batting .387 with four homers, 16 RBI, and 12 runs scored. Taylor Nichols has a team-high six home runs and 24 runs batted in, and Julia Vizza is batting .286 with 14 RBI and five doubles. Elaina Hansen and Madelyn Yeager each have 12 runs batted in on the year.

LOOKING AHEAD
• The Huskies wrap up a six-game road trip this Friday at Clarion before returning home on Saturday to close out the regular season with a doubleheader against IUP. First pitch with Clarion is set for 2:30 p.m.
