SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV - Taylor Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 victory at #1 singles and Cassidy Calimer (Egg Harbor City, N.J./Absegami) won 6-0, 6-0 at #2 to power the Bloomsburg University women's tennis team to a 4-0 victory at Shepherd University Sunday afternoon. The Huskies have now won two straight matches, and improve to 10-2 overall on the season. 

Capoferri and Calimer locked up the shutout victory for the Huskies with straight-set wins over Adkins and Zoie O'Neal, respectively, while Devon DiCampli (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) was the third Bloomsburg player to notch a singles win, defeating Claire Dean 6-0, 6-0 at #6 singles. Giovanna Bonito (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Reino), Isabella Sarquis (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Metodo), and Siena Cerra (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) were all leading after the first set at #3, #4, and #5 singles, but the matches were not completed.

Calimer would help the Huskies notch the doubles point as well, as she and Vitoria Nery (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Educandário Santa Maria Goretti) waltzed to a 6-1 win over Adkins and O'Neal at #1, and DiCampli and Haille Hoeflein (Easton, Pa./Easton) defeated Valentina Preciada-Bello and Dean 6-2 at #3. Cerra and Sarquis trailed Anna Bock and Olivia Scott 5-2 but did not complete the match at #2 doubles.

Bloomsburg returns home this Wednesday, April 10, to host East Stroudsburg. First serve with the Warriors is set for 4:00 p.m. from the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
