MANSFIELD, Pa. - As it has done in each of its victories this season, the fifth-ranked Bloomsburg University women's soccer team scored three second-half goals to break a scoreless halftime tie as the Huskies picked up their first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division win of the year with a 3-0 victory at Mansfield University on Saturday afternoon. Bloomsburg, which bounced back from a 1-0 double overtime loss against East Stroudsburg on Wednesday night, improved to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC East. The Mountaineers dropped to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the division.
All nine of Bloomsburg's goals this season have come in the second half as it scored three goals after scoreless first halves in victories over Edinboro, Goldey-Beacom, and Mansfield. Meanwhile, with Saturday's victory, the Huskies now lead the all-time series against Mansfield, 19-2-2, and have won each of the last ten meetings between the two schools.
The Huskies dominated the opening half but had nothing to show for it as neither team was able to crack the scoreboard in the first 45 minutes. Bloomsburg outshot Mansfield, 29-2, and directed 13 of those shots on goal - compared to just one for the Mountaineers. The Huskies also owned all seven first-half corner kicks.

Mackenzie Gebhardt (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) scored what proved to be the game-winner at 54:11 when she received a pass from junior

Emily Clauss (Scranton, Pa./Abington Heights) concluded the scoring in the 75th minute off of an assist from junior
Christina Podpora (Elysburg, Pa./Southern Columbia). All three Huskies scored their first goals of the season with Clauss' tally also proving to be her first collegiate marker.
Â
All told, Bloomsburg outshot Mansfield, 50-6, and held a 20-4 advantage in shots on goal. The Huskies also dominated in corner kicks, 14-1. Redshirt junior goalkeeper
Jenna Hawkins (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) was credited with four saves for her third shutout victory of the season. Moir turned aside 17 Bloomsburg shots in a valiant losing effort.
