LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's basketball team fell to Lock Haven, 87-76, in its final road game of the regular season, Wednesday evening. The Huskies dropped to 9-17 on the year and 6-13 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action while the Bald Eagles improved to 12-11 on the year and 8-10 in conference play.

As a team, the Huskies shot 43.5% (27-of-62) from the floor while going 7-of-20 from three-point range. Bloomsburg was 78.9% (15-of-19) from the free throw line and narrowly dropped the rebounding battle, 35-32.

The Huskies had four players reach double figures, including freshman
Justin Anderson (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) with 16 points while senior
Ky Mauras (Reading, Pa./Reading) chipped in 14 and redshirt junior
Max Wagner (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) added 11. Redshirt senior
Sam Saxton (York, Pa./Central York) ended with 10 points as well. Wagner led the team with eight rebounds as well. Sophomore
Travis Elmore (Tobyhanna, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) handed out a team-best three assists.

Lock Haven took a quick 2-0 lead thanks to a jumper from Christian Kelly at the 19:25 mark but Mauras tied the game at 2-2 on the next Husky possession. The 2-2 proved to be the last time the game was tied for the duration. The Bald Eagles pushed their lead to four, 6-2, but a Saxton three cut it back to one, 6-5, but that would be as close as the Huskies would get for the half.

Lock Haven took its first double-digit lead of the game, 36-24, with 3:52 to go in the half but the Huskies went on a 12-4 run to end the half and cut the LHU lead to four at the break, 40-36.

The Huskies kept the game close in the second half and did not allow the Bald Eagles to take more than a four-point lead until the 12:06 mark when a pair of free throws from Trevor Lecuona pushed the Bald Eagle lead to six, 61-55. Lock Haven extended its lead to nine, 64-55, but redshirt junior
Peyton Mortellite (Hammonton, N.J./Hammonton) trimmed the gap to six, 65-59, with a jumper at the 9:04 mark. The Huskies got as close as five, 76-71, with 4:34 to play but the Bald Eagles went on a 7-0 run over the next two minutes to take their first double-digit lead of the half 83-71. Lock Haven eventually pushed its lead to 13, 86-73, but Mortellite cut the deficit back to 10, 86-76, with 42 seconds to play. Kelly put the finishing touches on the Bald Eagles 87-76 win with a free throw on Lock Haven's last possession.

The Huskies return home on Saturday for their Senior Day celebration as they host Shippensburg for a 3:00 p.m. PSAC contest. The Raiders come into the contest 20-5 and 16-3 in conference action.
