WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. – The Bloomsburg women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the year as the Huskies fell to Niagara University 7-0 Saturday evening. The Huskies fell to 4-1 on the year.

Cassidy Calmier and
Luana Bernardi (Aruja, Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Reino) had the closest doubles match of the day as they pushed the match to an extra game but fell 7-5 in the No. 1 match.
Sarah Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) and
Isabella Sarquis (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Metodo) fell at No. 3 doubles 6-1 while
Taylor Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) and
Giovanna Bonito (Pindamonhangaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Reino) dropped the No. 2 match 6-2.

Bonito won the second set at No.4 singles 6-3 after dropping the first set 6-3 but fell in the tie break, 7-4.
Sarah Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) dropped that first set 6-0 at No. 5 singles but had a strong second set despite the 6-4 loss.

The Huskies get back to action in two weeks when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan College for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference match on February 28.
