MANFIELD, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team pushed its winning streak and shutout streak to four games with a 1-0 win over Mansfield University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East contest, Saturday evening. With the win, the Huskies improved to 9-3-1 on the year and 8-2-1 in conference play while the Mounties dropped to 1-10-2 for the season and 0-9-2 in PSAC action.
The Huskies have now turned in four-straight clean sheets and extended its scoreless streak to 441:42 minutes, dating back to the first half against Kutztown last week. Sophomore
Alexa Ryan (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) and her defense have been nearly impenetrable over the previous five games as they have allowed just one goal and nine shots on goal out of 23 total shots. Ryan has a league-leading eight shutouts this season and a 0.37 goals-against average in her first year between the pipes for BU. The Huskies out-shot the Mounties 28-1 for the contest on Saturday including an 18-0 advantage in shots on goal.
After a scoreless first half that saw 12 shots total, including eight on goal, for BU, the Huskies finally broke the scoreless stalemate at the 49:00 mark. With the first shot of the half, sophomore
Lauren Bull (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) buried her first collegiate goal for the 1-0 lead.
The Huskies continued their shot onslaught in the second half as they out-shot the Mounties 16-1 in the final 45 but had to settle for the 1-0 advantage and win.

Campbell Power (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area) led the Huskies with four shots while senior
Helen Flynn (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) finished with four.
