WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University volleyball team split a tri-match with West Chester University D'Youville College, Saturday afternoon. The Huskies fell to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East opponent West Chester, 3-1, in the opening match before taking down D'Youville 3-0 in non-conference action. The Huskies moved to 11-13 for the year and 5-5 in PSAC East action.

The Golden Rams took the first two sets 25-17, 25-20, before the Huskies rallied for a 25-22 win in the third. WCU closed out the match with a 25-21 win in the final set.

Grace Giza (Plymouth, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) led the Huskies with eight kills and seven blocks while senior
Mia Nicholes (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) posted eight blocks for the Huskies. Senior Syndey Buell finished the day with seven kills while senior
Mary Kate Mooney (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) added six.

Alyssa Cianciulli (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) finished the day with 14 digs and is just 2 away from 2,000 for her career at BU. Cianciulli added four aces for the Huskies.

Bryn Stek (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) dished out 17 assists while sophomore
Aydan Espinal (Rock Hill, S.C./Rock Hill) handed out 15.

In their 25-22 third set win, the Huskies hit a game-best .209 with 11 kills and just two errors. The Golden Rams hit .195 with 16 kills and eight errors in the set loss.

The Huskies rolled to a three-set sweep of D'Youville in the second match of the day by set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-15. For the match, the Huskies hit .325 for the day including a .375 clip in the third set with 11 kills and just two errors on 24 attempts. Bloomsburg held the Saints to a .000 hitting day.

Brooke Kratzer (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) dished out a team-high 22 assists.
Jenna Dubosky (Summit Hill, Pa./Panther Valley) posted seven digs and
Maura Uschock (Irwin, Pa./Hempfield) collected five.
Hannah White (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley), Kratzer, and Shorts all posted two aces for the Huskies.

The Huskies get back to PSAC East play when they travel to Shippensburg on Friday, November 5 for a 7:00 pm match before heading to Shepherd on Saturday for a 4:00 pm match.
