EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University volleyball fell in five sets to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East rival, East Stroudsburg, 3-2, Friday night. The Huskies won the first two sets 25-18, 25-14, before the Warriors came back to win three-straight sets, 25-23, 25-16, 16-14.

With the loss, the Huskies dropped to 7-9 for the year and 2-2 in the PSAC while the Warriors improved to 6-8 for the season and 3-1 in conference play.

Mia Nicholes (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) led the Huskies at the net with 12 kills and seven blocks while
Sydney Buell (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) finished the day with 10 kills and a pair of aces. Senior
Bryn Stek (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) and sophomore
Aydan Espinal (Rock Hill, S.C./Rock Hill) each dished out 19 assists while graduate student
Alyssa Cianciulli (Royersford, Pa./Pope John Paul II) collected a match-high 46 digs.

For the match, Nicoles hit .414 with 12 kills on 29 attempts and zero errors.

In the first set, the Huskies posted 14 kills and hit .224 for the set in the third. Bloomsburg had a perfect set at the net in the third with 11 kills on 49 attempts and zero errors.

The Huskies get right back to action on Saturday as they head to Kutztown University for a 2:00 PM PSAC match up.
