BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg Unviersity men's soccer team fell to visiting West Chester University, 2-1, Wednesday evening. With the loss, the Huskies dropped to 9-8 for the year and 5-6 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East play while the Golden Rams improved to 10-2-2 for the year and 9-2-1 in conference action.

Liam Harmon (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) got the Huskies on the board first as he scored at the 12:09 mark. After an attempted clear but the WCU goalie, the ball bounced around at a defender's feet when Harmon picked it off and tucked his shot in just under the crossbar for the 1-0 lead.

The Huskies attempted five more shots in the half but couldn't find the back of the net and carried the 1-0 lead into half time.

Following the break, Bloomsburg took a pair of shots in the first 15 minutes of action but both attempts were off target for BU. In the 61
st minute, the Golden Rams caught a break and a handball was called against BU in the 18-yard box. Doug Goitia took the PK for WCU and buried his shot in the low left corner to tie the game a 1-1. The Golden Rams were awarded another PK 6:43 seconds later and Goitia connected on his second shot to give WCU its first lead of the game, 2-1.

The Huskies never stopped fighting as they took six shots in the final 20 minutes but couldn't find the back of the net and the Golden Rams hung on to win 2-1.
Bloomsburg out-shot West Chester 17-5 and held a slight 7-5 advantage in corner kicks.

Nathan Slotnick (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) made two saves in goal for the Huskies.
Bloomsburg wraps up the regular season on Saturday at Millersville with a 2:00 PM kick off.
