The Game
The No. 2 seeded Huskies and No. 3 seeded and 22nd-ranked Golden Rams will meet for the third time this season on Tuesday. Bloomsburg claimed a 1-0 victory in the first meeting of the two teams in West Chester, Pa. and the two teams settled for a 0-0 double overtime tie in the most recent meeting in Bloomsburg on November 3. Bloomsburg is coming off a 1-0 win over Millersville last Saturday while the Golden Rams fell to top-seeded and third-ranked Kutztown University 1-0 to finish out the regular season.

The Series
The Huskies and Golden Rams are familiar foes in the PSAC Tournament as they met in the quarterfinals in 2019 season as well. In fact, 2021 marks the third-straight season BU and WCU will square off in the first round of the tournament. The Rams hold a 22-17-6 lead in the all-time series over the Huskies though in the last 10 matchups, the Huskies are 4-3-3. Bloomsburg is currently on a three-game unbeaten streak, beginning with a 2-1 win over West Chester in the sweet-16 of the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament in 2019.

Scouting the Huskies
Bloomsburg enters the tournament as the top defensive team in the PSAC this season. The Huskies boast a measly 0.43 goals against average for the season and have posted a conference-best 11 shut outs in 18 games. Just once this season has a team scored more than one goal on the Huskies as Kutztown earned a 2-1 win earlier this season. Bloomsburg is sixth in the league in scoring, averaging 1.78 goals per game and have been shut out just four times.

Leading the defense for Bloomsburg is sophomore goalie Alexa Ryan (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus). Ryan has started in every game for the Huskies as has played every minute of the season. She has a 0.43 GAA after allowing just eight goals in 18 games. Ryan has 33 saves this season for a .805 save percentage. Senior defender Natalie Holmes (Laurel, Md./Archbishop Spalding) is an anchor on the Huskies back line once again this season. Holmes leads the team with five goals and four assists so far this year and is a perfect 4-for-4 on penalty kicks. Holmes' defense has limited opponents to just 94 shots this year and just 42 shots on goal.

On the offensive side of the field, seniors Paige Harris (Danville, Pa./Danville Area), Helen Flynn (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) and freshman Brooke Foster (Cherry Hill, N.J./Camden Catholic) have provided offensive fireworks for the Huskies. Each have four goals on the year while Harris added three assists to her stat line this season. Junior Campbell Power (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area) leads the team with four assists to go with a pair of game-winning goals this season.

Sophomore Lauren Bull (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) has provided a spark to the Huskies' line up in the last two weeks as she scored three game-winning goals in her first three games in the lineup.

Scouting the Golden Rams
The Golden Rams' goalkeeper, Hayley McGee has totaled over 1,300 match minutes and 69 saves for West Chester. The goalie was awarded Defensive Player of the Week three times this season and is second in the conference with a 0.59 GAA.

Midfielder, Kaitlynn Haughey has six goals on the year. The midfielder was named Athlete of the Week back in September after she scored twice to help lift the Golden Rams to two wins in the same week. Maggie Lena and Julia Raybold both have four goals and two assists for the Golden Rams this year while Antonia Linus leads the team with five assits in just seven games.
