BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's and women's cross county and track and field teams will get back to competition after a year away due to a COVID-19 shortened spring semester last year. The cross country runners will hit the course for a pair of races before the Huskies open the track and field season at West Chester on March 27 and will host a pair of meets at Danny Hale Field at Redman Stadium.

The Huskies were unable to compete in their outdoor season last year, but the men finished 10
th overall and the women finished 11
th at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Championships.

Prior to the outdoor season for the track and field teams, the cross country runners will host a meet on March 6 with Lock Haven and Mansfield at 1:00 pm. The PSAC cross country championships will be held on March 20 at Lock Haven. More details about the championship races and times will be available closer to race day.

The outdoor season opens for the Huskies on March 27 as they travel to West Chester University for a quad meet. The following Saturday, April 3, Bloomsburg will head to the Millersville Metrics which begin at 9:30 am.

Bloomsburg will host its first meet of the season, the Husky Classic, on Saturday, April 10 at Danny Hale Field at Redman Stadium.

After a few days' rest, Bloomsburg heads to the Shippensburg Mid-Week meet on Wednesday, April 14 and then to the Bucknell Team Challenge on Sunday, April 18.

The Huskies return home for their second home meet of the year on Friday, April 23 for the Maroon and Gold Invitational.

Bloomsburg wraps up its regular season at the Lock Haven Qualifier on April 30 and May 1 before the 2021 PSAC Outdoor Championships begin on May 6 and run through May 8.

Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, current state and university guidelines, and other related health factors, the Bloomsburg University Athletic Department r announced that there will be no public attendance for home men's and women's cross country or track and field meets during the spring 2021 season.
