THE STORY
The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team will travel to Millersville University on Friday for the opening match of the 2021 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) tournament. The Huskies earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament after finishing the season with a 4-2 PSAC East record and a 4-3 record overall. The Marauders clinched the No. 2 seed behing a conference record of 4-1 and a season record of 6-4. The quarterfinals match is set to begin at 2:00 pm at the McComsey Courts on the campus of Millersville University.
BLOOMSBURG VS. MILLERSVILLE HISTORY
The Huskies hold a 46-9 all-time advantage over Millersville. The two teams met in the quarterfinals in 2019 as well with Bloomsburg earning a 4-3 victory over the Marauders. Earlier this season, Millersville defeated the Huskies 6-1 in Bloomsburg. Graduate student
Taylor Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) accounted for the Huskies' lone point as she won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. Senior
Isabella Sarquis (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Metodo) had a strong match at No. 4 singles after winning the second set 6-1 to tie the match, but ultimately fell in the tie-break.
THE HUSKIES AT A GLANCE

Taylor Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) has been strong at No. 1 singles all season for the Huskies as she owns a 6-1 record. Her only blemish came at the hands of West Chester earlier this year, though she is currently on a three-match winning streak. She is the only player in Bloomsburg's line to play all of her matches in the same spot in the lineup – No. 1 singles. She also has played all of her doubles matches at No. 1 doubles.
• Sophomore
Sarah Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) has a 4-3 record this season, splitting her time between No. 2, 3, and 4 singles. She is 1-0 at No. 2 singles and 2-1 at No. 4. She has played her last two matches at No. 3 singles and is 1-1, including a 6-4, 6-2 win over Natalie Brown of Lock Haven.
• Senior
Haille Hoeflein (Easton, Pa./Easton) has played in the last three matches for the Huskies and is a perfect 3-0 at No. 6 singles.

SCOUTING MILLERSVILLE
• The Marauders enter postseason on a two-match winning streak after defeating Frostburg 7-0 and Shippersburg 7-0. Millersville has won four of its final five matches of the season.
• Kelsey Heckert has a team-best seven wins on the year, including a perfect 6-0 record at No. 5 singles. Heckert is also 1-1 at No. 4 singles.

• Noelle Htwar, Lauren Weaver, and Maria Ojeda all have six wins on the year as well. Ojeda is 6-1 at No. 4 singles while Weaver is 4-2 at No. 6 and 2-1 at No. 5. Htwar is 6-4 at No. 3 singles for the year. Â
• Heckert and Jasmine Morris is 7-2 for the year at No. 2 singles whiles Htwar and Julie Wallace is 7-3 for the year at No. 1 doubles. Weaver has partnered with both Ojeda and Joanna Newton at No. 3 doubles for a record of 6-3 on the year.
LOOKING AHEAD
• The winner of the quarterfinals match between Bloomsburg and Millersville will take on top-seeded West Chester University next Friday, April 30.  The winner of that match will face the winner of the West's semifinals match for the conference crown on Saturday, May 1. The top three seeds in the West are: No. 1 IUP, No. 2 Slippery Rock, and No. 3 Mercyhurst.
