SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. – The Bloomsburg University volleyball team fell to Shepherd, 3-0, in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action Saturday afternoon. The Huskies dropped to 4-16 and 2-5 in conference action, while the Rams improved to 13-6 and 5-2 in conference play.
The Rams won by scores 25-10, 25-23, 25-14.
As a team, the Huskies hit 0.011 for the match with 17 kills and 16 errors on 90 attempts, while the Rams hit .223 with 36 kills and 15 errors on 94 attempts. Bloomsburg had its best hitting set in the second as the Huskies hit .147 as a team with 10 kills and five errors on 34 attempts.
Leading the way for the Huskies was freshman
Emma Antigua (Kimball, Minn./Kimball) with six kills and one block, while
Hannah Robson (Charlotte, N.C./Arborbrook) had 15 digs and two assists. Senior
Brooke Kratzer (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) finished the day with two aces, six assists, and five digs.
Liz Bopp (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) finished the day with a pair of blocks and had one ace.
Mikaylah Hoy led all players with 14 kills, while Claire Ellis had six aces.
The Huskies return home on Friday, October 14, when they welcome Lock Haven University to Nelson Field House for a 6:00 p.m. contest.
