MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's cross country team finished 11
th overall at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships Saturday afternoon at Lamb's Creek Cross Country Course in Mansfield.
The Huskies finished the day with 340 points and had four different runners finish within the Top 70. The squad's 11
th-place finish was led by
Parker Jarratt (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) and
Caden Dufrene (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run).
Jarratt placed 58
th overall with a time of 31:31.0 and Dufrene was three spots behind, placing 61
st with his mark of 31:40.8.
Freshman runner
Peyton Riley (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) was the third Husky runner to cross the finish line, placing 67
th overall with a time of 31:46.8. Sophomore teammate
Ryan Duff (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) finished just behind Riley, finishing 68
th overall with a time of 31:47.5.
Brayden Graham (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) rounded out the Top 5 runners for the Huskies with his time of 32:53.1. Graham finished 101
st overall to finish his junior campaign.
Matthew Carroll (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) finished two spots after Graham and placed 103
rd overall with a mark of 32:55.3.
Matthew Campbell (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) wrapped up his junior season placing 129nth overall with a time of 34:14.5.
The University of Charleston (W.V.) won the event with a total of 33 points after finishing the race with three Top 5 finishers and four in the Top 9. Edinboro finished in second place with 47 points and had three runners finish in the Top 10. Concord was third in the team standings and Mountain Lions' runner Isaac Prather was the first runner to cross the finish line with his time of 39:25.0 (5:02.5 split).
