| Box Score 2 BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team opened the weekend with a 5-2 win over Salem University before falling to West Chester University 6-1 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
 
In Friday's win over Salem, the Huskies nabbed the doubles point with just one win in doubles matches. Sarah Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) and Isabella Sarquis (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Metodo) won 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Lexi Quackenbush (Pittsburgh, PA/Fox Chapel) and Alyssa Mazurek () benefited from Salem not having a team for No. 3 doubles for the win to clinch the first point of the match.
 
Quackenbush earned her second win of the day with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles while Mazurek won at No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-1. The Huskies got default wins at No. 5 and No. 6 to clinch the 5-2 victory.
 
On Saturday, West Chester swept the doubles matches to clinch the first point of the match. Rea Hagishima (Tokyo, Japan/Meguro Nihon University High School) scored the Huskies only point as she won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. The Golden Rams closed out the match with wins at No. 2 through 6 singles.
 
The Huskies are scheduled to return home on Tuesday when they host Lock Haven University for a 3:00 pm match at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.
