LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University men's and women's track & field teams wrapped up the regular season with a strong showing at the LHU Qualifier, Saturday. The women's team finished fourth with 87 team points while the men took fourth with 71 points.

The women came away with three event champions on the day as
Kathryn Blair (Elma, N.Y./Iroquois) won the 800-meter run,
Sydney Sheaffer (Port Royal, Pa./Juniata High School) won the high jump, and
Ashley Blannard (Larksville, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) won the long jump.

Blair won the 800-meter run with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying time of 2:21.85.
Rachanee Tith (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area) took seventh overall with a time of 2:32.68 while
Alexandria Gearhart () finished 19
th at 3:08.76.

Sarah Castronova (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley) finished second overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.25 while
Delaney Porter (Pen Argyl, Pa./Penn Argyl Area) hit a PR as she took sixth at 27.14 and Melisaa Sicinski finished eighth with a PR of 27.17. Sicinski also took sixth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.91.

Emma Fortune (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./James M. Coughlin) took eighth in the 1-mile finals with a time of 5:46.19 and Riley Synder took ninth with a time of 5:46.49.

After finishing fifth in the 100-meter hurdles prelims,
Julia Magee (Chalfont, Pennsylvania/Central Bucks South) took fifth overall in the finals with a time of 17.63. Magee also took ninth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:17.66.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Castronova, Porter,
Sydney Beaverson (York, Pa./Red Lion), and Blair took second with a time of 4:14.42.

Sheaffer won the high jump as she cleared 1.52 meters.
Isabella Horvath (Cresco, PA/Pocono Mountain East High School) finished third with a jump of 1.47 meters.

Blannard was the solo Husky in the long jump and won the event with a jump of 5.29 meters. Blannard took second overall in the triple jump with a distance of 10.95 meters.

Becca Martin (Wellington Florida/Cushing Academy) finished eighth in the shot put as she tossed 9.39 meters and
Lauren O'Malley (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) finished ninth with a distance of 8.52 meters.

Makayla Force (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) took fourth in the discus with a distance of 34.84 meters while
Briannan Eckard (Danville, PA/Danville Area High School) took 11
th at 26.87 meters. Eckard also took 13
th in the hammer at 34.10 meters while Alyssa Dalmargo finished 12
th with a distance of 36.27 meters.

Molly Raville (Gettysburg, PA/Delone Catholic High School) took fourth overall in the javelin with a distance of 31.00 meters.

On the men's side,
Parker Jarratt (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) won the 800-meter race for the Huskies.
Chris McCormick (Ashland, Pa./North Schuylkill) took second in the race with a time of 1:59.81 and
Richard Loughran () finished sixth at 2:05.66.
Liam Grayson (/) took eighth overall with a time of 2:16.84.

Matthew Carroll (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) hit a PR in the 1-mile run as he took fifth with at time of 4:35.21 and
Matthew Campbell (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) took 10
th with a PR time of 4:46.87.
Justin Ziegler (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton Area) rounded out the Huskies in the 1-mile run as he took 14
th with a time of 5:07.39.

Robert Wilson (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) finished third overall in the 400-meter hurdles with a PR time of 58.08 and finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.27.

Doug Walsh (Old Forge, Pa./Holy Cross High School), Jarratt, McCormick, and Tyreem Wilson took fourth overall in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:58.59.

Walsh finished sixth overall with a PR toss of 21.79 meters in the discus.
Michael Makowski (Marion Heights, Pa./Mount Carmel Area) finished fifth overall in the hammer with a distance of 42.17 while
Anthony Moser (Natalie, Pa./Mt. Carmel) finished second in the javelin with a toss of 50.25 meters.
Jackson Baldini (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg Area) took third in the javelin with a distance of 40.62 and Walsh finished fourth at 40.01 meters.

The Huskies now prepare for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships beginning on May 12. A full preview including seed times/distances will be available early next week.
