BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg University volleyball team dropped a three-set match to visiting Chestnut Hill College Tuesday evening. The Huskies fell to 2-11 on the year while the Griffins improved to 5-8.

The Griffins took the first set 25-16 before rallying to a 26-24 win in the second set. Chestnut Hill closed the match with a 25-17 win in the final game.

As a team, the Huskies hit .165 with 24 kills and just six errors on 109 attempts. Meanwhile, the Griffins hit .298 for the match with 56 kills and 19 errors on 124 attempts.

Leading the way for Bloomsburg was freshman
Emma Antigua (Kimball, Minn./Kimball) with nine kills, while
Sydney Buell (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) had six kills and
Liz Bopp (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) finished with two. Antigua and
Hannah Robson (Charlotte, N.C./Arborbrook) had a pair of services aces as well.

Bopp finished the day with six blocks at the next, while Antigua added three and
Emily Jackson (Dover, N.J./Morris Hills) had two.

Aydan Espinal (Rock Hill, S.C./Rock Hill) dished out 15 assists and had four digs. Robson led the way with 14 digs while
Alexa Shorts (York, Pa./Central York) had eight in two sets.

Henielys Ramos led all players with 17 kills.

The Huskies return to action on Friday when they travel to Millersville for a 7:00 p.m. Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East match-up. Bloomsburg heads to West Chester on Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. match.
