Volleyball Drops Two Games In Final Day of Hall of Fame City Challenge

CANTON, Ohio – The Bloomsburg University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of games to Notre Dame (Ohio) and Malone on Saturday as it closed out its weekend at the Hall of Fame City Challenge.
 
The Huskies fell to Notre Dame (25-10, 25-14, 25-23) in the first contest of the day before falling to Malone (25-21, 25-19, 25-23) in the team's second game of the day. 
 
Against Malone, junior Jenna Dubosky (Summit Hill, Pa./Panther Valley) had a solid game offensively as she led the Huskies with eight kills and added total of 12 digs. Freshman Hannah Robson (Charlotte, N.C./Arborbrook) led all players with 26 digs during the contest, and four more players added five or more kills for the team's attack. Emily Jackson (Dover, N.J./Morris Hills) had six kills while Shayna Warfel (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor), Livia Moore (Luzerne, Pa./Holy Redeemer) and Marlee Johnson (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) each had five.
 
In the team's first contest on Saturday, Sarah Mace (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Basil Academy) and Bopp led the team in kills with four apiece. Robson once again led the team in digs, this time with seven.
 
The Huskies will head to the court again next weekend for its third and final tournament to open the season. This time, Bloomsburg will head to Charleston, West Virginia for the Charleston Tournament. The two-day event will feature games against Virginia State and Charleston on Friday, Sept. 9, and two more games against Belmont Abbey and Salem on Sunday, Sept. 10.
