BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Bloomsburg men's cross country team had a strong race at the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Cross Country Championship meet, Saturday morning. The Huskies finished eighth as a team and
Ryan Duff (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) earned first team all-conference accolades.

Duff paced the Huskies for the entire race, finding his grove in the final 2,000-meters. At the first 1K split, Duff sat in 18
th-place with a time of 3:11.1. He moved his way into 13
th at 9:54.8 with a 6:43.7 split at the 3,000-meter mark. He took over 11
th at the 5K split at 16:45.0 and 10
th at 23:37.1 at the 7K split. Duff finished 13
th overall with a time of 26:54.9 to earn first team all-PSAC accolades, his first career all-PSAC honor.

Michael Gavio (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) ran a strong race for Bloomsburg as he started the day in 56
th place at the 1,000-meter split with a time of 3:16.7. He moved into 51
st at the 3K split and jumped into 41
st at 5K and a time of 17:24.9. Gavio dropped a couple spots to 43
rd at the 7K split and took 44
th overall with a time of 28:09.6.

Peyton Riley (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) got off the starting line quickly and hit the 1K mark in 36
th at 3:14.1. He stayed ahead of teammate Gavio at the 3K mark with a time of 10:13.1 and moved into 61
st at 17:34.1. He made up some ground with a strong 2K run to get to the 7K split at 24:53.2. He took over seven places to close out the race at 47
th overall with a time of 28:12.5.

Stephen Suwala (Brigantine, N.J./Cedar Creek) was the fourth Husky across the finish line as he took 51
st overall with a time of 28:14.7. He started the race in 55
th at 3:16.3 at 1K and maintained his strong pace and worked his way into 50
th overall at the 7K mark before finishing 51
st overall.

Brayden Graham (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) was the final scoring Husky as he took 71
st overall with a time of 28:44.3. He stayed right with Suwala for most of the first half of the race before finding his own pace at the 5K mark. He hit the split 66
th overall with a time of 17:37 and moved to 72
nd at the 7K split with a time of 25:10.5. Graham overtook the runner in front of him to finish 71
st.

Caden Dufrene (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) took 75
th overall with a time of 28:55.5 while
Matthew Carroll (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) finished 91
st with a time of 29:32.6.
Rich Loughran (Ottsville, Pa./Pennridge) came in 100
th at 29:53.5 and
Peter Tepper (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) finished 104
th at 30:01.7.

Zach Ryan (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) was the 10
th Bloomsburg runner to finish as he took 112
th overall with a time of 30:41.6 while
Matthew Campbell (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) finished 123
rd at 31:17.0.
Nathaniel Welch (/) rounded out the Huskies with a 127
th-place finished at 31:34.1.

The Huskies have next weekend off as they prepare for the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships. The race will take place at Lock Haven on November 4.
